My thirteen year old daughter loved this set, she really enjoied, it is easy to build and the result is an adorable robot, very nice to look at, it has some movements. It is a beautiful set.

Great set. My 9 year old daughter asked Santa for this. She had made her way through all of the "girl" sets and wanted something more challenging. I had to help a little for the first time in a couple of years, but overall a great, manageable build for her.
Fun set, finished model is cool with a number of moving parts and a smart display stand that you also build. The finished model really has that droid feel about it. Only slight frustration is (obviously) you make four sides all in a similar vein taking away some of the challenge, however a cool must...
My 10 year old grandson and his 10 year old female cousin put this together in about 2 hours. When we visited the Lego store and I told him I was considering buying the Star Destroyer instead he said he preferred this BB-8 set.
I bought this for my 9 year old who LOVES legos. He had been asking for it for a while. He finished it much quicker than I thought, so for me it wasn't worth the $100 price tag at all only giving him a few hour challenge, but he loves it so that's what matters.
My son has a Christmas birthday, and this was the perfect fit. It's a bit much for him at age 6, but his older brother is thrilled to help, and the other kids are excited about its progress also, which nets me some quiet time.
