LEGO Marvel Super Heroes review

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes could have easily just been a parade of Marvel's iconic and most popular superheroes to appease the core fans. Thankfully, TT is a developer who always strives to outdo their last LEGO-fied take on a popular license rather than rely on small incremental updates, and they've...

+Open-world Marvel game; +Family friendly fun; +100+ characters with unique powers; +Excellent use of the Marvel license

-Awkward camera angles; -Hulk's shorts

Lego Marvel Super Heroes

"...a superhero story worthy of afternoon playtime." "Lego Marvel Super Heroes couldn't slay all of its technical villains..."

Open-world New York City; Tons of collectibles; including Stan Lee himself; Plenty of funny moments to keep the laughter up

Technical mishaps, including game-breaking glitches, Monotonous level design and mission format, Strange A.I; actions during open-world play

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Review

is the best thing to happen to Marvel games since 2006's Marvel Ultimate Alliance. It's a warm and witty, multi-layered approach to the brand that ties in hundreds of Marvel's most iconic characters, settings, and stories.

Huge character list; Marvel-rific story; Fantastic visuals

Unoriginal puzzles

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Review

The most interesting thing about Lego Marvel Superheroes is the way it mixes the properties from the Marvel comic books with those of the movies. It's a strange collusion of Marvel's movie properties and visual styles with comics and TV animation.

Does the Marvel universe justice; Combines the best of Lego gameplay; Over 150 unlockable characters; Open-world Marvel New York; Levels designed to showcase character abilities

No way to choose missions; Over 150 unlockable characters

Lego Marvel Super Heroes review

A familiar formula is invigorated by an inspired use of the Marvel licence, leading to a gleefully generous game.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is rated E-10 with an ESRB descriptor of Cartoon Violence. You can punch, shoot, and zap bad guys, but they just fall down or go to pieces when defeated. They make it perfectly clear that everything is made out of LEGOs, so violence isn't really that bad.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes (PS4) review

There are some things that are just meant to be together: blueberry bagels and cream-cheese; Han Solo and Chewbacca; Justin Bieber and lots of fire. The combination of one of the most beloved, ingenious toys of the millennium, LEGO; and the epic might of respected prolific publisher Marvel comics is...

Lego Marvel Super Heroes (PS4) - Review

For the longest time, I generally paid very little attention to Traveller's Tales licensed Lego games. Not that I ever thought the games were bad, just that there are very few licensed games that I ever felt were worth my time; why would this series of Lego games be any different?
