"Great concept, poor execution"

Lego Harry Poter follows the great formula of the previous games though the numerous glitches ruin it (with a good system you can manage to avoid all the glitches but the most common).

glitches

To play his game is so much fun but having to upgeade my video card and work so hard to get around all the glitches might not be worth it. A game that sells for 19.99 caused me to go buy a 150.00 video card.

Summary: Looks fun, sounds fun, but too buggy to play. Pros: -Cute writing -Fun and easy Cons: -Crashed consistently I bought Lego Harry Potter a few years ago on Steam. It had good reviews and sounded casual and fun (it's for kids).

UPDATE

After my comments below I contacted the customer support line with my problem. They asked me to send them a diagnostic report, after which I got a reply saying that my chipset was not supported and I needed to upgrade it. Saying, in effect, this is not a software problem but a hardware one.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4

Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is easily the best Harry Potter game to date, though if that sounds like a backhanded compliment, consider this: It's one of the finest Lego adventures to date as well, which is no faint praise.

Funny and charming; Tons of variety and replay value; Downplays combat in favor of coin collecting; Lots of hidden nooks and crannies

Inconsistent targeting; Random bugs

PC/PSP Game

I was a huge fan of LEGO Star Wars when it came out back in 2005, and also of the Original Trilogy follow-up. These games brought interesting gameplay and whimsical storytelling to life in a way that captured the essence of their source material and a humor and lightness that made them eminently...

+ Fun; fun; fun! + Excellent retelling of the stories + Built-in replayability

– PSP game is overly simplistic – PC game could use fewer console-specific references – PC game needs in-level saves
