L.A. Noire

Play as a detective in the city of Los Angeles. Set in the 1940s and based on the crime films of the day, Can you pick a liar from their tone and facial expression Huge number of side cases to hone your investigative skills. Drive around the game world in free roam style.

Investigative mechanics – Captures the era perfectly – Amazing storytelling

Slow to get going – Just a little too much reptitiveness

L.A. Noire

There are two things you need to know going into L.A. Noire, and the first is that this isn't just a 1940s-set Grand Theft Auto. Yes, i...

Fascinating story and characters; Action's relatively simple; but lots of fun; Investigation is surprisingly addictive

Occasional visual hiccups; A few too many tailing missions; No rumble feedback when you're being shot

L.A. Noire Review

The glitz of 1940s Los Angeles paints a thin veil on the corrupt underbelly of society. Greedy real estate developers, psychotic serial killers, hardened World War II veterans, corrupt cops, hit men, arsonists, and junky jazz musicians are but a few of the citizens that inhabit L.A.

L.A. Noire PS3 Review

Maturity and innovation are two things that should be definitely encouraged in games. Most mentally mature adults probably grow tired of the amount of faux mature games that seem to be pandering towards a teenage audience as opposed to the truly grown up gamer.

Bringing a new level of quality

The Mean Streets of L.A. Two years ago, gamers didn't think much of L.A. Noire . Its development was veiled in secrecy and shrouded in a toxic cloud of rumours. The game would have been redesigned from the start; the Houser brothers found it boring and refused to let it come out.

Ultra-dynamic storytelling; As good as any renowned crime novels; Interviews and MotionScan give gamers a different challenge

Way too streamlined at times

The Gumshoe Diaries

The Switch port comes with a graphical hit, but the crime-solving is as compelling as ever.
