I don't know why this game received all of the bad reviews from critics but let me say this game is pretty awesome. Beautiful graphics and simple gameplay that you can get addicted to within a matter of seconds.

Knack is an action platformer that should feel right at home next to games like Ratchet & Clank or Jack and Daxter , but while it seems to have all the right parts, something feels lacking. Visually speaking, Knack looks good.
Perhaps the only thing worse than a new IP that is hyped and turns out to be a dud (we're looking at you, Aliens: Colonial Marines) is one that promises to be fantastic, actually is pretty good, and then gets unjustly panned.
Innovative elements and ideas; Endearing main character; Game mixes and matches up locales and Knack's abilities; Plenty to find and collect
One or two tedious levels; Some repetitive audio scoring; Simplistic attacks leave room for improvement
Simplicity and pretty colours. That's about the easiest way to sum up Knack in a quick few words. While I actually enjoyed my time with the game I have to admit that it never really advances past a one button puncher that's easy on the eyes.
Oh, Knack. I want to love you so much more than you're letting me. Amid all the other PlayStation 4 launch titles, Knack has oddly been one that Sony has pushed to the forefront.
Everything in Knack revolves around relics, a mystical energy source that fuels engines, generators, and other contraptions; Wise-talking Knack himself is a living, sentient relic, but his main source of power is collecting smaller relics to bulk up his own body.
If there's one thing that bugged me the most about Knack, it's his amazingly inconsistent powers; Although he quickly figures out how to absorb things other than relics into his body, his game never runs with that idea, keeping his abilities frustratingly situational.
As I mentioned earlier I don't think Knack is a bad game, it's just not really a game that shows off the PS4 to its full capabilities. Granted it is also repetitive and frustrating at times (because of the rinse and repeat side of things when you die), but then if you are not a hardened gamer and...
In a world where the resurgent species of Goblins have begun gaining armaments and weaponry beyond their capabilities. They are now taking aggressive steps to reclaim the world that humans once took from them.
Though it fails to live up to the promise of its biggest ideas, Knack is a good game, a solid a challenging old-school adventure for gamers young and old.
A solid game that definitely has an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.
I choose to tackle the archer first, after I manage to avoid his incoming arrow using the right stick of my controller and, from the jump, I curl into a ball and take him out before I jump again to avoid a grenade and then slam into the robot.
Knack character design; Relic-based growth
Simple combat; Non-interesting story; Limited cooperative mode
