Kirby Star Allies

I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming purchased a copy of Kirby Star Allies on the Nintendo Switch. The failures from the PR and Marketing firm that represents this game have been mentioned before. Kirby Star Allies contains Story Mode, Chop Champs, and Star Slam Heroes.

Review: Kirby Star Allies

Outside of a couple of fantastic moments at the end of the game I don't think the game will be that memorable for many gamers. This could be because I played through it in single player and others may probably get more mileage out of the game if playing through the whole thing in mulitplayer.

Colourful and charming game; Pick up and play gameplay of past Kirby games is present

Too short; Lots of loading screens; Very easy; even by Kirby standards

The core Kirby series has seen something of a revival in recent years, after a long period of interesting yet different spin-off titles taking the main spotlight. Starting off with Kirby's Return To Dreamland , this new era of mainline Kirby games has taken on a character of its own; almost standing...

Kirby Star Allies Switch review - A fun but lop-sided Switch action platformer

Kirby has always been about harnessing the skills of others. The pink blob's main move is to suck up enemies and take on their abilities. In , Nintendo's B-team captain takes that concept to the next level.

As the series' first major outing on Switch, Kirby Star Allies seems like the kind of game that would have been designed with an eye toward pushing Kirby into the future. It isn't, though. Instead, it comes off as something closer to a recap of 25 years of Kirby history.

Kirby Star Allies isn't the greatest game in the series, nor is it the most original. Yet, with its fun gameplay, ample content and modes, and gorgeous presentation, it remains an irresistible title for Switch owners.

The Pink Puff Goes On Auto-Pilot

For better or worse, Kirby is Nintendo's most consistent franchise. New entries come often, and they don't stray too far from the "pretty good" mark in either direction. On that scale of inoffensiveness, Star Allies rests a bit on the low end, offering a bland Kirby experience with few new...

Kirby Star Allies

Kirby has been around for a fair few years now (since 1992 with Kirby's Dream Land, in fact), and this month marks his return in the form of Kirby Star Allies, developed for Switch and with an emphasis on party play.

Kirby Star Allies (Switch)

Sometimes, you just want to sit back and enjoy a video game without being pushed to your limits. Not every game has to challenge your endurance, your patience and problem solving skills.
