undocumented pitfalls

If the flash drive was not properly deactivated or ejected, you're locked out of the flash drive; meaning your password will not work. The only way to reset the password is to erase the contents of the flash drive.

Attractive Design; Easy To Set Up; Portable

Does more than I require

I use flash memory regularly as part of my home business. I have been making personalised wooden home decor for many years but in recent years have made it official and forged myself a system that works for me.

Encryption function ; Simple in use

Lid is loose so can be lost ; Slight lag in data transfer

Kingston DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive

Happy New Year! Lately, it seems security has been a big issue for our American counterparts. In the earlier part of 2013, Edward Snowden left the country, and met with journalists to discuss his findings.

The software is excellent, it does what it's suppose to in mounting ...

Superb unit for mobile safekeeping the way encryption should always be done - on the hardware level. The software is excellent, it does what it's suppose to in mounting as another independent drive, and most importantly, no files inside it touch the external main drive so it acts as a secure...

Kingston DataTraveler Vault Privacy review

The Kingston DataTraveler Vault Privacy is secure enough to protect government data, so it's good enough for us. It's read and write speeds aren't amazing, but the price tag is tempting for the privacy it affords.

Interesting capabilities

There are quite a few "knock-offs" of this technology on the market for the cheap- basically involving a program used to encrypt the usb contents (while still being readable). This stick is fantastic in that it actually mounts as two partitions.

secure data; cannot brute-force encryption; virus/malware-proof

more expensive than 'dumb' usb
