Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 G3 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive
Pull out all your awkward questions, because simple answers are the only response you will get. Putting the Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 G2 and G3 side by side, it is amazing how one product generation can change so much. This is not an evolution from its predecessor.
The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 is a chunky USB 3.0 thumbdrive with a good turn of speed and capacity up to 64GB
Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 review: A chunky USB 3.0 thumbdrive
The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 is a chunky USB 3.0 thumbdrive with a good turn of speed and capacity up to 64GB- Significantly faster than USB 2.0 flash drives
- A little on the chunky side
- doesn't realise the full potential of USB 3.0
Kingston Data Traveler Ultimate 3.0
While not the fastest USB 3.0 drive, Kingston DT Ultimate 3.0 is very tempting with killer warranty and enough speed to satisfy most customers' needs. If you don't mind giving up some read speed for longevity, then it may just be right up your alley.- Stylish good looks in a retro chic kinda way
- Decent read performance with good write performance
- LED indicator is not annoyingly bright
- Great 5 year warranty
- No software needed to get the most from it
- Uses default MS drivers
- Y adapter included for increased compatibility with USB 2.0 systems
- Pricey for the speed it offers
- May block USB ports to either side of it
- Requires USB 3.0 to get the most from it
- Will more than likely NEED the Y adapter for hassle-free USB 2.0 connectivity
Nothing special
I have tried to install urDrive from Kingston but it crashed in my Windows 7.- Moderate speed on USB 2.0 Haven't tried USB 3 yet
- Larger than I thought
- It could make problems when used in laptop
- Metal ends slides to expose the ugly white plastic connector
Broke the key loop
I had this less then a week before the key ring snapped off and I nearly lost it. I had to get it from the lost and found at my college campus security office. I would not buy this again, unless you have no desire to attach it using the loop on the end of it to anything.
Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 32GB Flash Drive Review
With all the data shuffled around in the information age we live in, the ability to store and transport data files as easily as possible is important. Companies responded by first started offering USB 2.0 drives with storage capacities all the way up to 256GB.
Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 32GB USB 3.0 DTU30/32GB Review
More and more new Laptops and Desktop PCs are equipped with the new USB 3 technology, so it's time for us to look closer at devices that are supporting this new USB Superspeed standard.- Fast USB3 connection
- USB2 compatibility
- Good file copying performance
- Stylish construction
- even though it looks a bit "bulky"
- No noise
- Did not require an additional power source
- Good value for money
- The device becomes very hot when working
- USB2 connection requires 2 USB2 ports
Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 review
Compared to USB 2.0 flash drives, the Kingston DT Ultimate 3.0 64GB is a fast storage device - well over twice the speed of the best that USB 2.0 has to offer, in fact. This speed is particularly welcome for the larger capacity thumb drives that are becoming popular, such as the 64GB unit we tested.
