As USB 3.0 is slowly becoming integrated into more products such as the latest generation of PC motherboards more companies are releasing products to take advantage of this technology's speed gains.
Pros:
- +Lightning fast read/write speeds
- +Well constructed
- +Speeds actually exceed the specs listed by Kingston
- +Backwards compatible with USB 2.0

- -Bulky and may block USB ports

If you already own the first generation model, you may have to think twice before upgrading, though. Everything else is the same, except for the extra speed. If you transfer large files frequently though, it will definitely be a worthy upgrade.
Pros:

- + Can be attached to a keyring
Cons:
- - Size a bit bulky
- - Apart from the speed
- nothing else is new in the Generation 2 model
