REVIEW: Kingston DataTraveler 200 (128GB)

In spite of the security issues, the DT200 is a very good drive that could be put to a wide range of uses. It's not the fastest or most individually styled but it's practical and functional. Having said that, I'd have liked some auto-backup software included in the bundle.

Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ USB Flash Drive

As the world's largest independent manufacturer of memory products, Kingston Technology doesn't need much of an introduction. The company got its start in 1987, when the computer industry was suffering from a severe shortage of surface-mount memory chips.

Mandatory security on all files; Hardware based 256-bit AES encryption; Includes "lockdown" mode for increased security; Compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS X; Five year warranty; Reasonably priced

Slow write speeds; Not bootable

Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ USB Flash Drive Review

The Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ series of USB flash drives provide the expected level of performance for a USB memory stick, with the added security of password protected access and 256-bit AES Hardware Based Encryption, for a slight premium in cost over non-secure storage.

Secure storage

Not usable as boot device; not compatible with Linux

Kingston 8 GB DataTraveler Locker plus

The most basic form of memory storage today is the flash drive. Since the preponderance of USB flash drives, I've forgotten and lost many. Their small size is to blame for that, but it's hard to deny they're essentially indispensable.

Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB 3000MHz Quad Channel DDR4 Kit Review

With every type of product there's always a particular brand or SKU that rules the roost, that pushes the boundaries in terms of quality and performance. In the world of desktop computer memory there are a few of these: Corsair's Dominator Platinum and G.Skill's RipJaws are a couple of examples but...

Best-in-class performance; Great looks and high quality construction; Lifetime warranty

Very expensive; Tall heatsinks may cause compatibility issues; High frequency doesn't scale in many real world applications (at least not yet….

Kingston DataTraveler Mini 3.0 16GB Flash Drive Review

There are so many options for USB flash drives, sometimes it can be impossible to choose one model to fit everybody's needs.  Kingston knows this and has enough models that finding one to suit a specific need should be fairly easy.

Review of Kingston DataTraveler 310 256gb USB Flash Drive

They say size doesn't matter, but I think it does… at least when it comes to a USB drives, and I'll leave it at that… I've got an exclusive review for you, our friends over at Kingston have sent me a rather expensive USB drive, coming in at about $1100 it's not one that most people will be running...

Well made; Faster than spec speeds; Largest USB drive on the market

Expensive
