Upgrading to a Solid State Disk or SSD is one of the best performance enhancing upgrades that one can do to their PC. SSDs allow almost instant access to the stored data thanks to extremely low access times as well as high transfer rates.
Bought this SSD for my wife's 2-year old notebook computer; installing was easy. After I cloned the original hard drive I took it out and put the Kingston back in. After switching the computer on, I was asked for a restart and after that my wife had a super-fast intel Core i-3 computer.
Purchased one of these before for my desktop and it worked well. No more clunking hard drive. Acronis cloning software that came with the first one was a breeze. So pleased with it that I purchased a second one for my 7 year old laptop. Increased speed and no more hard drive thrashing!
Really easy to install in a desktop, it comes with all the necessary hardware to do so. Didn't use to clone my existing disk just to dual boot Linux and Windows and it does the job perfectly. There are fastest SSD in the market nowadays but for the price is worth it.
Since Kingston introduced the V series of drives a few years ago, the V has always stood for Value and this by all means stands true to this drive. The V300 is the fastest V series drive that we have seen to date (as one would expect) and along with a comprehensive bundle & competitive price tag,...

Easy To Install; Fast; Highly Compatible; Quiet; Reliable
It sometimes costs less than better performing drives.
When first released and reviewed by the industry Kingston used synchronous NAND when building the V300's; In later revisions they transitioned to using cheaper asynchronous NAND which has resulted in severely degraded performance and did nothing to make customers aware of the change
I am very happy with the performance of this SSD , very fast and serves my requirements very well

Kingston changed the internal components they are currently shipping in this product to lower quality ones without changing the product name. I have one of the early one that is really fast but this newer version I bought is MUCH slower.
