Kinston SSD SV300S37A

Without Acronis, which seems to come with other Kingston SSDs. How can I transfer Win7 from the main drive to the new SSD drive.? Can I shrink the Win7 partition to the size of the SSD, back up and restore Win7 using "Redobackup" to move Win7 to the new drive?? We shall see.

Installed as a 2nd drive in an HP HDX18 laptop running Win7 and WinXP; So far after initializing and formating, the system sees it.

No Acronis software included; included instructions lacking

Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S3D7

The 120GB Kingston SSDNow V300 Series SV300S3D7 internal solid-state drive (SSD) is priced to appeal to ordinary consumers but with performance that sat at the top of the enthusiasts market not so long ago.

Great price/performance ratio; Priced well below $1 per GB

Older SF-2181 loses speed in random read/writes; or when working with uncompressed data

Kingston SSDNow V300 Solid State Drive Review: SandForce with New Fixings

Frankly speaking, we are rather wary of SandForce-based SSDs. Good

Really easy to install in a desktop, it comes with all the necessary hardware to do so. Didn't use to clone my existing disk just to dual boot Linux and Windows and it does the job perfectly. There are fastest SSD in the market nowadays but for the price is worth it.

Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB review

This must be a frustrating time for any manufacturer producing SSDs with the SandForce controller. You're sat waiting for the next generation of controller while Marvell, OCZ and Samsung gleefully launch their own to entice the market.

The Kingston V300 128GB is an odd drive in a category where we want to find consistency. The V300 128GB has some good points, some bad points and some points we really can't explain. The drive is different from most LSI SandForce SF-2281 products we've tested.
