The story was great, this expansion adds SO much new material to the game, the environments are gorgeous, the gameplay is addictive as always, there's so much new to explore! Definitely would recommend to anyone. Also-- who cares if you need an internet connection to play it?

As a lover of RPG's I couldn't wait to get my hands on this game when I was asked to review it. Published by EA Games, developed by Big Huge Games and written by acclaimed author R.A Salvatore the pedigree was undeniable so would it live up to my expectations?

Great: Impressive efforts with a few noticeable problems holding it back. Won't astound everyone, but is worth your time and cash.

I seem to have this love/hate relationship with RPG adventure games. On one hand, they appeal to the anal retentiveness and control freak part of my personality.  I spend hours fine tuning items; tweaking the stats of my character; selling and resupplying items; and then comparing and contrasting...

I don't' really write reviews but I have to say that the first time I played this game was through the demo and I was already losing track of time with the game (getting stopped by the fact that the demo had a time limit per play).

Limitless customization; Huge maps to explore; interesting characters; fluid combat

Easy quests; average - low graphics; non - Multiplayer

Good but not better than skyrim, still it is quite enjoyable and it kept be busy for whole 2 months, overall a huge game with lot of fun, recommended for rpg gamers

This game was a joy to play from start to finish. I enjoyed this game so much that I own it on both Xbox 360 and PC. I have been a long time gamer and never have I played a western RPG that had such an enjoyable combat system.

If you were a successful sportsman worth millions of dollars what would you do with your retirement? Buy a yacht perhaps? Take up golf? Or would you set up your very own development studio, hire the best in the business and make your own ideal fantasy role playing game?

Kingdoms of Amalur is a fantastic example of a Western RPG that skimps somewhat on fleshing out characterizations and differentiating itself from the crowd, but nevertheless delivers an extremely solid experience.
