DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

THIS IS THE WORSE KINECT GAME I HAVE PLAYED EVER. DOES NOT FOLLOW ACTIONS, DOES NOT RESPOND PROPERLY, ONLY SIX GAMES....BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY I HAVE EVER SPENT AFTER YEARS ON XBOX PRODUCTS.

Kinect Sports Rivals review – next gen Wii Sports

The first major Kinect-only game attempts to bring motion controls into the next generation, but is bowling and tennis really the best way?

Kinect really does work, and the face scanning is hugely impressive; Wake Racing is a decent clone of Wave Race 64 and Rock Climbing is a genuinely fun game

Obvious lag when more than one person is involved, which almost ruins Tennis; The choice of sports is very uninspired and Soccer doesn't really work at all

Rubbish Service

I dislike this product because i have never received it. The item was sent via a company called Gameseek which is part of Rakuten. Have been in contact via e-mail as the phone line is always pointed to recoded message saying all phones are busy call back later. They are always busy.

No way to change Champion

Game creates a Champion avatar after scanning you. But there is no way to rescan or delete a champion which is frustrating. After buying the game, when we were trying Champion thing for the first time, my daughter started creating a Champion (gender female).

Dis-Kinected : Sports Rivals sets the bar too low.

If you're one of the millions of owners of the Xbox One console, you might find it odd that the Kinect camera has barely any motion control games. Though It's likely that you use at least some of the integrated functionality, it's hardly something that is likely to impress your guests.

Voxel face-building is really neat; Rare knows how to make a game look polished

…even when the game is bad; inconsistent controls ramp up frustration quickly; uninspired gameplay; little variation; voice acting/dialog is atrocious; in-game purchases are shameless money-grab

Kinect Sports Rivals review

Then for some reason, Kinect hiccups. It's not recognising my hand gestures correctly, I clench my fist but the throttle refuses to fire. I open my hand and my jetski coughs forward. It has sort-of-but-not-quite reversed the hand gestures.

Very fun, no problems like others have mentioned

I held off on buying this game because of the negative reviews about issues people were having with the kinect not responding well. Many reviews mentioned frustrating glitches. This was not the case for me.

Kinect Sports Rivals Review

But with my experience with other Kinect titles, I knew what to do. First, I made sure I had several hours in the day free when I knew there wasn't going to be too much foot traffic through the living room. I moved the coffee table. I moved the central table over the coffee table for extra space.

Solid animations; Create A Champion mode; Bowling and climbing

Very long loading times; No free play available at start; $60 is far too much; Tags

Kinect Sports Rivals review

Kinect has always been a remarkable piece of technology waiting for the right application. Can legendary UK studio Rare deliver a gaming experience equal to the promise of Microsoft's motion sensing controller? Ben Allan slips into his leotard and takes Kinect Sports Rivals for a spin.

Rock climbing and wake racing control well, and are enjoyable; Colourful presentation.

Soccer and shooting games particularly uninspired; Kinect controls often still too finicky or glitchy.

Kinect Sports Rivals review

Kinect Sports Rivals arrives as an important exclusive title for the first year of the Xbox One, produced by the seminal developer Rare and carrying the flag of the Xbox brand. While it undoubtedly looks terrific and is delightfully fun in sections, the overall package is a bit too hit and miss to...

Charming art style; Lots of customization options

Small rooms are a non-starter; Unskippable cutscenes
