Amazon Kindle Voyage review
The Kindle Voyage is without doubt one of the best eReaders money can buy. Is it worth buying though? For most people, no. The extra resolution, sleek design and page-turning buttons are all nice-to-haves but by no means essential. You'll get a better reading experience on a Voyage compared to the current-generation Paperwhite, but only just, and the difference in price is simply too much to justify it. But if money is no object, then you won't be disappointed.
Amazon Kindle Voyage Review
The Amazon Kindle Voyage is one of the nicest best ebook readers available, though most people will still be served just fine by the Kindle Paperwhite. Amazon's various Kindles have long been the most popular ebook readers on the market, but that doesn't mean they have always been the best from a technology perspective. Barnes & Noble beat Amazon to the punch with a front light, and Kobo eclipsed the company in screen resolution. The Kindle Voyage changes that. It has a lovely, thin design, with an incredibly sharp display and a useful adaptive front light, not to mention Amazon's excellent ebook store. That said, I'm still not sure this is enough to warrant the $199.99 price tag when you can pick up our Editors' Choice, the Kindle Paperwhite, for nearly half that amount. Design and Display At a glance, the Voyage ($199.99 at Amazon) doesn't look all that different from the Paperwhite or the standard-issue Kindle, in the sense that all three share the same general size and form factor. Look closer, though, and lots of important changes emerge. The Voyage measures 6.4 by 4.5 by 0.30 inches (HWD) and weighs 6.3 ounces (or 6.6 ounc...- Incredibly sharp display
- Adaptive front light
- Thin design
- Excellent ebook store
- Expensive
- No memory card slot or ePub support
Amazon Kindle Voyage review: Only for the purists; but Kindle Paperwhite still makes sense for the majority
When it comes to ebook readers, the Amazon Kindle is the most prominent name that comes to mind. Amazon already has the mid-range Kindle Paperwhite and the entry-level Kindle (2014) and has just released a higher resolution variant of its already awesome Kindle Paperwhite.
Kindle Voyage
Amazon is the undisputed champion in the e-reader market despite the claims that tablets would take over its space. Still, it seemed that after the Kindle Paperwhite, there wasn't much left for Amazon to improve upon.- Slimmer and lighter than Paperwhite
- Sharp and clear display
- New PagePress sensor offers easier page navigation
- Ghosting issues
- Light sensor errs on the dark side
The Kindle Voyage is clearly the best E Reader and worth it
I had the Sony Daily Reader (SDR) and I have moved on to the Kindle Voyage. People complain about the price of the Voyage but the SDR costs more when I purchased it years ago. It took me a little while to get to use to the smaller screen, but as I was on the beach reading (no problem reading on the...- Size

- Word Wise is nice
- Some may like a bigger screen
- annoying advertisements you have to pay extra to get rid of
Review: Amazon Kindle Voyage
"Thank God Amazon created a new flagship e-reader. The Kindle Paperwhite is a terrible piece of crap." "For too long have we suffered the Tyranny of the Kindle Paperwhite and its myriad flaws.- Best e-ink screen yet
- Auto-brightness control adjusts illumination based on ambient light
- Clicky touch-strips speed page-flips
- No micro USB cord included-because you have 10 of them floating around your house and bravo, Amazon, for not creating even more e-waste
- Expensive
- Still not waterproof
Amazon Kindle Voyage review: A first-class trip
With tablet devices available in all shapes and prices these days it's amazing that eBook readers are still holding their own. But not only do Amazon's Kindle devices persistently perform well, the company regularly refreshes its range to keep things interesting.- Super light and small to hold
- gorgeous screen with crisp and detailed text presentation
- adaptive light helps keep words readable in all ambient conditions
- very quick to refresh pages and open features
- Pricey for an eBook reader
- not entirely sure whether the haptic page turning feature is necessary

Amazon Kindle Voyage
The Kindle Voyage is Amazon's top-of-the-range e-reader. Like the excellent Kindle Paperwhite , the Voyage has a 6-inch backlit touchscreen, but its screen is sharper and clearer.- Outstanding screen
- Reliable backlight
- Intuitive controls
- High price
Amazon Kindle Voyage review
Is it worth the cost? A one off payment is manageable, but it's still a touch too pricey – despite being a brilliant reading experience.- Nice page turning options
- Brilliant screen
- Sleek design
- Highly expensive
- Interface identical to other models
- Buttons slightly hard to hit
