Kindle Oasis

The Kindle Oasis is the most luxurious, high-end e-reader ever made by Amazon. It's ridiculously thin, weighs very little and is a pleasure to use. In addition, it's supplied with a clever leather case into which the device slots, which not only provides protection for your e-reader, but also an...

Included leather case is great; Fantastic display; Gorgeous looks

That price..; No adaptive front light

Amazon Kindle Oasis in-depth review - The ultimate e-reader

E-readers have been around for some time... There was the Nook, a few by Sony, a few Kobos and of course Kindle by Amazon. There have been several along the years and currently there are four different versions...

Petite size; Stunning display; Bundled-in case; superb battery life

3G version almost as expensive as an iPad

Amazon Kindle Oasis review: the discerning choice for Kindle devotees

There's a lot to love about the Kindle Oasis, even if many of the core features are available on the significantly cheaper Kindle Paperwhite. But that's missing the point – and if you've got this far we'd bet that won't bother you.

Expensive; 3G version is even more; Needs more case choices

Expensive; 3G version is even more; Needs more case choices

Amazon Kindle Oasis review: First class reader, first class price

The Amazon Kindle has been fairly predictable over the past few years, walking a path from button-laden ebook reader at its 2007 launch , all the way through to the ultra-refined and ultra-simple Paperwhite and Voyage generation. The Kindle exists for one reason and that's to read books.

Light weight design; fast page turns; great battery cover; lovely even lighting; premium feel

Price; no adaptive front light

Kindle Oasis review: is it better than a book?

The Kindle Oasis is a wonderful ereader and is a pleasure to use. Its asymmetrical design is the biggest jump forward for any Kindle yet. But that doesn't make it worth £270. The Kindle Paperwhite costs less than half that and is still an excellent ereader with a great screen.

Screen works well in all light conditions; excellent design; great selection of ebooks in Kindle Store

expensive; cover slightly ruins the e-reader's balance; not waterproof

Amazon Kindle Oasis review

Amazon's Kindle range hasn't seen an innovation like the Oasis since 2014, when the Kindle Voyage appeared. Ever since the original Amazon Kindle hit the virtual shelves back in November 2007 the company has managed to refine the design with each passing generation, nipping here and tucking there to...

Amazon Kindle Oasis review

There's no doubt that the Kindle Oasis is technically the best eReader you can get. Amazon has done a great job with the new design which is impressively small, light and ergonomic. The cover is a nice touch too and adds additional battery life to boot.

A Significant Step Up In Quality!!

I've had my Kindle Oasis for three months now, it being my fourth version. Having used it almost daily, I think I'm well placed to provide a balanced review of this product. I find it difficult to make any negative comment about the Oasis. It's very slightly larger than my Kindle Voyage.
