KEF LSX

There's no denying that these speakers provide a high level of audio quality, with a warm and balanced sound. Although they are by no means cheap, we think they are a fantastic investment for any audiophile who doesn't want to clutter their home with huge towers.

Fantastic audio quality; Powerful bass; Compact design; Lots of connections

Expensive; No built-in voice assistant

KEF LSX review: Wireless speaker perfection

Overall, I'm a huge fan of the KEF LSX and, yes, I'm aware they're costly, at one pound short of a grand. But, in the context of rivals such as the Mu-so, their larger and more expensive siblings, the LS50 Wireless, and more traditional Hi-Fi streaming products they're actually pretty good value.

Rich; muscular and detailed sound; Incredible looks; Immersive soundstage; Superb connectivity and app support

Ethernet link required for reliable connection; No digital assistant

KEF LSX Wireless Music System Review

I'm hardly alone in admiring KEF's outstanding LS50 Wireless stereo-speakers-cum-entire-wireless-system. Ever since its launch in 2016, reviewers have been queuing up to pay homage and customers to pay the £2k asking price. In hi-fi terms, the LS50 Wireless is a classic-in-waiting.

Good build and finish in a number of colours; Great wireless stability; Excellent sound from any number of sources

Short of outright scale and dynamism; More apps than should be necessary

Small enough to fix on my desk, loud enough to fill a room

I am really enjoying these speakers. I have high end audio speakers in several rooms, but I had been using a cheaper Bluetooth speaker in my small office. I decided to upgrade but I didn't want the complexity of an amplifier and passive speakers.

KEF LSX review

What LSX represents is more far-reaching, and less steely-eyed, than KEF simply stripping features out of proven product to drive costs down. It’s taken a proven product, and carefully and successfully re-designed it - to the point that it looks, feels and sounds far more than half the price of the LS50 Wireless. It’s about as impressive an all-round system as we’ve heard for the money.

Sleek, compact design; Impeccable build quality ; Impressive tonally ; Great textured sound;
