Jabra Elite 75T Review

The Jabra Elite 75T don't rework the wheel, but by getting nearly all the basics right, they earn a place as one of 2019's best all-round true wireless earbuds.

Comfortable, solid fit; Great battery life; Dynamic sound;

Mic quality could be better;

Jabra Elite 75t review: Improved over time, better sound than the AirPods Pro

Jabra's Elite 75t earned a CNET Editors' Choice award back when it debuted in November of 2019, but it didn't become widely available until the beginning of 2020. While a lot of other excellent true wireless earbuds have arrived since then, including several that offer active noise cancellation, the Elite 75t and its slightly more rugged sibling, the Elite Active 75t have remained top true-wireless options. Part of the reason for that is that Jabra has managed to improve the earbuds' performance through firmware upgrades. The most recent of those (fall 2020) added active noise cancellation, even as the company released a step-up model, the Elite 85t, which uses a different, even more effective form of noise-canceling technology. The other reason the Jabra Elite 75t continues to be a top contender is that it's become more affordable, occasionally cutting $40 or even $50 off its list price of $180 (£170 and AU$299) during the holiday sales period.

The Jabra Elite 75t has continued to improve over time, adding noise-canceling and better voice-calling performance via firmware updates. It remains one of the top true wireless models.

Sound better than the AirPods Pro, with better clarity and tighter bass; Better fit and smaller size than previous models; 7.5-hour battery life between charges; USB-C charging;

Rival models from Apple and Anker have better call quality; No wireless charging;

Jabra Elite Active 75t review: Top-notch wireless sports earbuds

As it did with its last-generation true wireless headphones, Jabra has once again released a very slight upgrade to its newer Elite 75t model. The new Elite Active 75t arrives about three months or so after the standard Elite 75t (sans Active) debuted. That model was downright excellent, earning a CNET Editors' Choice award. This "active lifestyle edition" costs $200 (£190; $AU329) or $20 more than the standard version and has some small design upgrades. Is it worth the extra dough? The short answer is that for most people, probably not. But if you're looking for a sports headphone for running and other athletic pursuits -- and you sweat a lot -- spending a little more on the Elite Active 75t may give you some added peace of mind that your headphones may hold up better over time.

They cost $20 more than the standard Elite 75t, but sports enthusiasts looking for more durability will appreciate what the Active has to offer.

Better fit and smaller than previous model; Added coating for dust and sweat resistance; Sound better than the AirPods Pro, with better clarity and tighter bass; Good for making calls; IP57 water-resistance rating (fully waterproof); HearThrough transparency mode (lets ambient noise in); 7.5-hour battery life between charges; USB-C charging;

No active noise canceling; No wireless charging; AirPods Pro are slightly better for making calls;

Jabra Elite 75t true wireless earbuds review: Proof you don't have to be the best to be great

If you’re looking for a set of true wireless earbuds that do more than just tick all the boxes but don’t cost the world, the Jabra 75t are a safe bet. The quality of experience you’re getting here feels a step above the cheaper options even if it doesn't quite manage to outshine the best the category has to offer.

With the Jabra 75ts, the brand continues to build on an already-strong foundation with small but meaningful improvements.

Improved battery life; Smarter design;

Lacks proper noise cancelling; Pricey;

Jabra Elite Active 75t review: True wireless sport star

A great pair of headphones designed for sport with waterproofing - but ideally suited to everyday use with great sound quality and battery life. But you might be able to get the experience you want from Jabra's almost identical headphones without the waterproofing.

Great customisable sound; IP57 waterproofing; Comfortable fit; Great app with customisation; Good battery life; Active noise cancellation via update;

Not hugely different to the cheaper Elite 75t model;
