Jabra Elite Active 65t

You have to hand it to Jabra-the company has invested in an app that works with multiple models of its headphones, and it's the rare case in which the app actually improves the user experience to a notable degree.

Powerful bass and sculpted highs; Customizable EQ; Dust- and moisture-resistant design; Secure in-ear fit; Counts steps

Auto-pair process can be cumbersome, with only one earpiece pairing at times; Not for purists seeking accurate audio

Jabra Elite 65t and Elite Active 65t Review: Beating Apple's AirPods

Apple's AirPods have been the standard bearer for true wireless earbuds, but that doesn't make them the best available, a point proven by both the Jabra Elite 65t and Elite Active 65t This isn't the company's first kick at the can.

Improved fit for noise isolation; Good sound quality; Competitive price

More charges on the case would be nice; In-app EQ doesn't offer too much; Alexa needs better integration

Truly wireless earbuds are a finicky piece of technology and are easily hampered with issues every now and then. With the introduction of the Jabra Elite Active 65t, some of the issues have been alleviated.

Not weighty; Design

Jabra Cordless Earbuds Elite Active 65t

Most wireless earbuds still have a cord of some sort even if it's just enough to link the two buds behind your neck. Here nothing more than the buds that fit in your ear. So the total weight is just an amazingly small 13 grams the pair. So as they say on the box ‘no strings attached'.

Amazing

Ordered these after spending money on cheaper versions that failed or kept cutting out. The sound quality is amazing and when used with the Jabra sound app allows you to add extra bass or treble to suit your needs.

Jabra are a brand that we all know but are not a household brand for non-tech-heads. They have a history of making Bluetooth headsets for business and more recently for the general public.

Jabra Elite Active 65t

Alongside being completely free from wires, the Jabra Elite Active 65t is also rated IP56 dust and water resistant. It also comes loaded with features and brings the promise of good audio and practicality to a segment that is still more gimmick than value-for-money.

Impressive; balanced audio performance; Good clarity; Truly wireless; IP56 rated sweat and dust resistant; The companion app is versatile

Intermittent sibilance in upper-mids; Weirdly difficult to open the case; Multi-device connectivity issues

Great sound, fir and quality

Pleasantly surprised by the fit and ease of use. First time using full wireless and was concerned they may not stay in place particularly when exercising. Happy to say this has not been an issue. Overall sound quality is fantastic, usage time between charges also pretty much as stated.

Jabra Elite 65T Review (vs Active Model)

The Jabra Elite 65T are some of the best fully wireless earbuds that money can buy. It's hard to find negative things to say about them.

Secure; comfortable fit; Surprisingly good audio quality + active noise cancellation; Mobile app allows you to adjust EQ; engage SoundScapes; and more; Strong Bluetooth connection; Quick charge feature (15 min = 1.5 hour of battery life

The Jabra Elite 65T are fairly expensive; Using the buttons on the earbuds can start to fatigue your ears; Not terribly water resistant (only IP55 for Elite 65T and IP56 for Elite 65T Active

In the two years since Apple released its AirPods , true-wireless earphone makers have been working hard to match Cupertino's balance of price, solid industrial design and pleasing audio. A few like Jaybird, with the excellent Run earphones , have come close.

Comfortable to wear; Lightweight; Water resistant; Two-year warranty against dust and water damage; Audio properties can be changed with companion app; 15-minute charge provides 90 minutes of music

Inferior passive noise cancellation; Unimpressive low frequency performance; Lightweight materials make them look a little cheap
