JBL Xtreme 3 is a good alternative to the heavy Boombox 2, and only half as expensive.
Plays mightily tough and loud. Massive and well controlled bass. Can be paired with multiple speakers. Shoulder strap included.
A little too bass heavy for our taste, and no app control.
