Review: JBL Charge

With music, it's often what you don't hear that tells you whether it's any good. The absence of good orchestration or arrangements, or the lack of tonal quality in a voice, means the band/artist probably should have spent more time in the studio (or possibly in rehab).

Comes in black, green or blue; Battery lasts 12 hours; Charges your phone; More affordable than similar-size Bluetooth speakers; Small, easy to carry

Sound quality can't match that of the competition

JBL Charge Review

The last time we checked out a portable speaker from JBL, the $100 Flip , we were pretty much blown away by the small speaker's big-league blast of sound. The Flip easily filled our test room with its concise, detailed sound signature, and its exterior design was a refreshing break from the ritual...

JBL Charge

At $100 and below, expectations of portable Bluetooth speakers shouldn't be too high, as both distortion in the price range is fairly common, as is thin sound-though there are some exceptions to this rule.

Solid audio performance at moderate volumes, with rich lows and clear mids and highs; Easily portable

Distorts at high volumes on tracks with deep bass; Slightly overpriced

JBL Charge Bluetooth Speaker

The JBL Charge is a formidable speaker, but it falls short in battery performance. Its 6,000mAh battery should have charged my Nexus 4 a few times over, but it didn't. This, to say the least, is very disappointing since many people will buy this speaker not only for its sonic capabilities, which...

Sonically great; charge your 5V devices on the go; somewhat rugged build

No mic for speakerphone; 6,000mAh battery falls short for recharging

JBL Charge Portable Speaker and USB Charger

The JBL Charge is a great portable speaker with a USB outlet for charging smartphones or tablets from the internal 6000 mAh Li-ion battery.

JBL's Charge delivers a jolt of sound -- and power

The JBL Charge is a nice compromise for those who want a better-sounding portable wireless speaker but don't want to make the jump -- both in terms of size and price -- to something like the Jawbone Big Jambox or Bose SoundLink.

The, is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker that sounds very good for its size and is designed to be used horizontally or vertically; It also has a built-in USB port that allows you to use the speaker's built-in 6,000mAh lithium ion battery to charge other portable devices.

No speaker-phone capabilities; can't handle heavy bass at higher volumes without distorting

JBL Charge Review

At a price of Php7,995 , you can get the JBL Charge both as an amazing set of speakers and as a charger for your portable devices. It's something light enough for you to bring along with, and it's extremely loud with the quality being impressive.

JBL Charge Speaker: Size of a Beer Can, Sounds Big as a Keg

If you're looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker, JBL just rolled out its JBL Charge, a beer-can sized speaker that promises great sound and plenty of battery life. The speaker's 6000 mAh lithium-ion battery can also be used to charge any gadget that uses USB for power.

JBL Charge Bluetooth Speaker Review: A Great Speaker Gets Better (In Some Ways), But Is It Worth The 50% Markup?

I love the JBL Flip . The JBL Charge is the follow-up, of sorts, to that speaker, and addresses a few of the shortcomings its predecessor had. No more proprietary charging. Much longer battery life. A USB port for charging your various gadgets.

Review: JBL Charge portable speaker and OnBeat Rumble dock

The JBL name is among the most revered in the audio marketplace. Since its founding in 1946 by James Bullough (love that middle name) Lansing, the brand consistently stood for excellence in the pro market.
