I purchased this after owning a 5.1 component system for many years. I had it running though my old tv and I wasnt too impressed with the sound. Ive since hooked it up to a new tv through the arc hdmi port. For the noise and clarity I find it pretty reasonable. I probably should have bought the 5.1.2 system which has 2 satellite speakers aswell but really this sound bar does everything I want it to to a volume Im comfortable with. I would however like to be able to control bass mid and treble more like an existing amp but for all round limited cables etc not a bad buy

The JBL system uses the same frequency as a common router will. This product will exhibit major interference due to this fact. The satellite speakers drop out and the subwoofer cracks and pops. If you have a mesh wifi system or even a router that is closer than 20’ from the spud system DO NOT BUY THIS as you’ll be very disappointed. JBL only offers the solution of (move your surround or router farther that 20’ from one another). Well if you have quality mesh point wifi that literally is not possible. JBL you need to disclose this upfront rather than people scrambling for solutions. Disappointed after years of enjoying their products.

The soundbar can produce immensely loud and clear sound at low and high volumes and the subwoofer performance is just best in class for most of the other competition including some higher priced subwoofers. The Base is deep, clear and thunderous for a perfect movie projection. We use it in our living room with open plan living and the sound is really fulfilling.

I like the sound bar have it setup in my bedroom with a 55 tv sound is really good and bass is punchy! Could use treble control

With this sound system, the cinematic experience at home is phenomenal. You just need to connect it to your TV using an HDMI cable to enjoy pure sound quality enhanced by a powerful subwoofer, which creates the perfect audiovisual experience.

I have been using this device for a year now. The sound, in a phrase is mind blowing, literally. U might find the mids week, but the highs are good, and the Bass, obviously, exceptional. The device is easy to set up and works well with TV, mobile and any other gadget connectable by BT, Optical or HDMI. The remote feels cheap and poor in build, but does the basic. The biggest issue is servicing. My device developed technical issues due to problems in my end, but I literally had to wait for 4 months for the servicing, where a wait of 1 month due to the pandemic was justified. One star deducted for the same. Very happy with the product overall

It might take up a bit of space, but the JBL Bar 5.1 Surround is an incredible bit of kit.
