HP Pavilion g6

For a $400 notebook, the HP Pavilion is a very good machine... For $400, I really didn't expect a top-of-the-line performer. This is my "fun" laptop. In the great big world of business, you would not be happy with this notebook. It's a $400 laptop. How important is your business?

The graphics are good; a 15.6" screen is good for viewing video; Refresh speed is good; It does not hiccup when multi-tasking (there is a limit); Microsoft Excel functionality and speed is better than I expected; I can't really complain; Web browsing is better than adequate.

Battery life could be better; The casing could be more rugged; I would not recommend putting anything on top of the notebook when it is closed; Then again, I don't recommend using any laptop as a shelf to hold stuff; The AMD dual core processor chip is adequate; I only paid $400.

Thus far this computer has met my expectations with ease of use and over all design, although the construction of the unit seems to be on the flimsy side. To make up for that the processor speed has exceeded my expectations for what this machine will be used for.

Easy To Set Up; Easy to Use; Efficient; Reliable

Flimsy Construction

HP Pavilion G6-1381SA: A small but graphic display of efficiency

Despite a few problems, I would still buy this laptop again.

Decent price; long battery life; compact and lightweight

May be issues with keys; definite issue with insecure battery

An all round good laptop

This laptop is super fast, you can have multiple applications open and it still runs quickly. Just be aware in the specifications bluetooth 3.0 is listed and this model doesnt have bluetooth capabilities. However this laptop is still impressive so decided to keep it.

Hdmi; Stylish; VERY fast

No bluetooth

Still early days and I'm sure that once I get used to it things will seem much better and I'll wonder how I managed with the old desktop.

Everything's good in this laptop but the GPU makes a lot of noise and gets heated up real quick. The left click and right click on the touchpad are not so comfortable and i hate hitting em. Everything else is great on this laptop.

HP Pavilion G6-1309EA: Good laptop

I bought this laptop about a year ago, it was refurbished from eBay. So far the laptop has been good and has been able to do what I have wanted to do. It can run my games that I bought on steam some at low quality and some on higher quality, these games are Garry's mod, Team Fortress 2 and left 4...

A power packed budget laptop that offers fantastic value

Good performance; Graphics power; Decent connectivity; Sharp screen

The entire HP Pavilion G6 (2008tx) Review shows that it is a perfect laptop for those who are looking for high speed web surfing, Photo Editing, Word Processing and want to play their favorite games without any lags.

Altec Lansing Speakers included, Bluetooth v4.0; supported, Dolby Advanced Audio solution, Adobe Flash and Shockwave Player, Windows Live Essentials, HP Launch Box, Microsoft Office 2010, Evernote and HP Support Assistant, Symantec Norton Internet Security 2012 (60-day trial, Cyberlink Youcam...

Average build quality; Generally bland design; Weak battery life; It comes with HP bloat wares which are useless

HP Pavilion g6-1a69us

The HP g6-1a69us looks good, and thanks to strong performance and battery life, it's rubbing elbows with the best budget laptops available.

Slick two-toned style; Full-sized keyboard; SRS Premium Sound; Large 500GB hard drive; Strong performance; 5 hours of battery life

Lacks the graphics and gaming capabilities of budget systems with Intel 2nd generation processors
