Great processor. Purchased for internal server build. Fast and reliable.

Great for rendering

Do NOT put this into a narrow ILM socket. There are very few coolers available, and they all suck. Also, considering that it reaches max rated temperatures pretty quickly at 100% load, watercooling is a good idea. In most cases, it performs about the same as my 3930K...

VERY powerful; I bought this for a client to function as a combination file server and render node for Revit; At 100% load it spits out finished chunks faster than all the i7's working next to it, and still responds like a champ

Seems a bit over-priced, to me; It's a pretty difficult task to get $1,200 worth of value out of this, but if you can, it's worth it
