Of Gods, Monsters, And Precious Loot

Concept: A sequel that offers enhanced combat, a silly (but action-packed) story, and collectible loot galore Graphics: Few details are spared as the titans clash and the world is destroyed around them, even in the little things like lip-syncing.

Injustice 2 Review

Injustice 2's fights improve on Gods Among Us in nearly every way, specifically addressing fan concerns about movement speed and giving you new ways to burn meter. Visually, the DC roll call shines even as they star in a flat and unnecessarily grim story.

Injustice 2 review

Despite annoyances with the gear system and the loot boxes, Injustice 2 is a huge amount of fun. There's tonnes of stuff to do, it looks the part and the new fighting mechanics serve a purpose while deftly avoiding adding complexity.

Injustice 2 Review

Injustice 2 is unmistakably a NetherRealm Studios game. Ever since they reinvented themselves with 2011's Mortal Kombat , all their games have followed the mold. 2D fighting with a story campaign that brings you through many different playable characters as your fight your friends just as much as...

New high bar for animation and lighting; Combat is as deep and technical as ever

Unnecessary and detrimental gear system; Frequent frame rate drops during cutscenes; Tags

Injustice 2

Breaking ties with Midway and signing with Warner seems to have been one of Netherrealm Studios' best decisions. Since then, the studio that created Mortal Kombat has definitely raised the bar with its games, delivering MK9, Injustice: Gods Among Us, MKX, and now Injustice 2.

Injustice 2 continues the story from Injustice: Gods Among Us , which was an instant hit from Netherealm Studios, who also helm the Mortal Kombat Franchise, taking DC's greatest heroes and Villains and taking the comic world and twisting it to have the world's greatest heroes become their greatest...

Justice's dawn: Injustice 2 review

In the face of some excellent, fluid combat and top notch animation, what impressed me most about Injustice 2 was its ability to overcome fighting genre shortcomings to integrate a story that mattered into its moment to moment gameplay.

Fluid fighting and a varied roster; Story mode and integration into fights is a feat in the genre; Character customization is fun to mess around with; Solid online servers

Some balancing issues; Online needs more privacy options; Microtransactions and loot drops may frustrate

Injustice 2 Review – A Rare Victory For DC

It's kind of nuts to think about how far Netherrealm have come. How they bounced back from a string of questionable titles (including Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe) to create some of the best fighting games in the business.

Injustice 2: "Written, voiced, and rendered to an exceptional level, immersing you into the DC world"

Injustice 2 isn't the most original fighting game on the block, but it might be the most balanced and thoroughly entertaining one - gear system notwithstanding.

Fabulous presentation & story; Gear is a customization dream; Balanced roster of fighters; Tight; precise controls

Rewards are entirely luck-based; The gear system feels unpolished; Online players who spam that one move
