Indivisible review

It might take a bit of time to try and explain exactly what Indivisible is, so bare with me. It's not down to it having a complex story with myriad characters and threads, neither is it a messy concoc

Beautiful hand-drawn art style; Platforming controls are refined and responsive; Battles are exciting; Lots of styles that mix well together

Battles can be hard the further you get; 'Busy' battle can be distracting

Indivisible Review – Mind Over Matter

Way back in 2015, when the world was still twerking to Uptown Funk!, Lab Zero Games, developers of the hit game Skullgirls, put together an IndieGoGo campaign for a brand new project. After 30,000 backers, 2.5 million dollars raised, and four years of development, Indivisible has finally arrived.

Beautifully hand-drawn visuals; Unique gameplay; Fun characters and story

Battling is awkward and dull; Unnecessary spoiler-filled opening video

Indivisible PS4 Review

Everything in Indivisible – from the colorful visuals to the "Oooom" noise when you save your game – is calculated to delight. Despite some uneven difficulty, both the platforming and battle systems entertain.

Indivisible Review | Divided against itself

Premier fighting game developers usually stick to that genre for years if not decades. Even though NetherRealm in its many forms has experimented with unique minigames and brawlers in the past , it has almost exclusively created traditional fighting games along with the Tekken team.

Lovely story that wonderfully explores themes of maturation; redemption; and forgiveness; Characters are uniquely designed and well-animated; Combat has a unique blend of real-time and turn-based rules..

Lacks deep RPG gameplay systems like upgrades or skill trees; Boring level design makes the tedious platforming even more tedious; Tags

Indivisible Review – Merging Good And Evil

Indivisible is a hybrid that sounds like a dream come true to a very specific subset of gamers (me included), with side-scrolling exploration reminiscent of the Metroid series and a combat system inspired by the cult classic Valkyrie Profile.

Indivisible Review

A mixture of lovely characters and a world brimming with imaginative ideas is complemented by a rock-solid combat system and experimental platforming that blend together strangely, but just works. If you're after a smaller adventure in-between the coming month's biggest releases, not much will shine brighter than this gem.

A bright, colourful and imaginative world to explore; The charming cast of characters will keep you guessing; Fast-paced combat system is both unique and challenging; Platforming blends surprisingly well with other mechanics;

Having to restart long boss encounters can be frustrating; Lack of audio and pacing of some cutscenes can be jarring;
