You've gotta give the folks at Compile Heart and Idea Factory credit- each installment in this series is a massive improvement over the previous one. The first was hot garbage, the second was mediocre, and this one is actually fairly decent.

Hyperdimension Neptunia V is waay better then its neptunia 1 & Mk2 great improvement from theses two although most ppl will say it gameplay is exactly like mk2 yea its not like sure by gameplay yes but the way you fight has change a bit nonetheless same gameplay the story may seem confusing to some...

This game is super fun I'm so happy with it!!!!!! (not the victory version this is the original) AND I LOVE IT

This is an underestimated game due to what you can see on images and reviews but behind Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory there's a deep system that many games classified as RPG nowadays doesn't have. If you played mk2 you should know that this game is very similar to it but with many improvements.

Be sure to switch to Japanese audio right away though. English dub is really bad... Anyway, I didn't play the first two Neptunia games, but I'm enjoying this one very much.

For those unfamiliar with the Hyperdimension Neptunia games, the basic premise is an interesting one. A turn based RPG set in a universe meant as a commentary on the games industry (the world is even called ‘Gamindustri' with place names such as ‘Lastation'), it's a series dripping with potential.

Another day, another review and another video game sequel. With the current console generation dwindling to a close it really feels like developers are playing things safe by releasing follow-ups to established intellectual properties.
