Kingston HyperX Cloud Headset Review

We regularly speak about the importance of brand identity here at OC3D. Whilst we consider every product based solely upon its merits rather than the name of the manufacturer or similar preconceptions, we are aware that to the man on the street the important thing is name recognition.

Comfy good quality sound

This head set is just like the other hyper x headsets but with one feature no cables worth the extra money

You can tell how Shroud gets one up on people with these.

These things sound pretty good, and they feel so comfortable compared to a lot of other gaming headsets I've owned. It has no equalizer if you're buying for console but for PC, you just download the software. You have to charge them before use as they come depleted. To turn them on/off, you HOLD the power button down and to switch the lighting settings, you PRESS the power button while they're on. The rest is pretty simple, plug in your USB dongle that comes with the headset and you're fit to go. Lastly the LED lights have 3 settings, Static (solid), Breathe (pulse) and off. If you want the battery life to last its longest, set the LED lights to off.

Kingston HyperX Cloud gaming headset review

The Kingston HyperX Cloud is a great looking headset and more importantly one of the best I have heard in a very long time. They are capable of resolving an extraordinary range of frequencies, separating the high and midrange perfectly while resolving a surprising level of tight, punchy bass.

Excellent sound quality; Clear, focused dynamics, without distortion, even at high volume, Gaming is atmospheric thanks to superb stereo panning, Fantastic frequency separation, Very comfortable over long periods, Good build quality and aluminium body – no creaking frame under duress, Great bundle...

Will be expensive; Mic sound isolation isn't great

Kingston HyperX Gaming Headset

Despite my initial impressions, I have to admit that I've really enjoyed my time with the Kingston HyperX Gaming Headset. They are incredibly comfortable and help immerse you when gaming and close out the outside world (apologies to the wife and kids)…

Kingston HyperX Cloud Pro Gaming Headset Review

There are two key factors when thinking about any set of headphones on the market: comfort and sound quality. For me, comfort trumps sound almost every time. It doesn't matter if you are getting the world's greatest sound out of a brand new set if they feel like you are putting needles into your...

It's better than any other headset I've tried at the same price, however, the Cloud II wins out in every field. With the Cloud II's improved sound, comfort and microphone quality, I would strongly suggest spending the extra $20 - $30 or so in investing in the upgraded edition.

The feel; Comfort in the long-run; Easy to clean

Size issues; The microphone; The ear cups; PRICING; United States; HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset retails for $67.49 at Amazon; Canada; HyperX Cloud Gaming Headset retails for CDN$79.00 at Amazon Canada
