This isn't an all-singing, all-dancing smartwatch that can act as a supplementary smartphone, but it works well as a fitness tracker and has a premium design that belies its competitive price. The Huawei Watch GT 2 is the smartwatch sequel to the Huawei Watch GT .
Reasonable price; Good fitness tracking; Attractive design; Formidable battery life
Few smartwatch functions; Limited software
The Huawei Watch GT 2 is a really great fitness and health companion, covering quite a number of aspects of your fitness, sleep tracking, heart-rate monitoring, as well as stress feedback throughout the day. I found all of this very useful based on my current needs.
Two-week battery life; VO2Max sensor; GPS-enabled tracking; All about the fitness
No 3rd-party apps; Missing smartwatch features
Great quality, price and look. Long battery life and perfect for fitness
We review the Huawei Watch GT2! We really liked Huawei's first Watch GT. Armed with a bright screen, tons of features and an almost unheard of 2-week battery life, it was a great all-around smartwatch despite its limitations.
Stunning design; Impressive battery life; Decent value;
Limited third-party support; No app store; No notification interaction;
Upgraded my Huawei watch GT to the new GT 2 and wasn't disappointed. The upgraded version is slick and love the ability to make and receive calls. The battery life is still around two weeks! If your looking for a awesome smart watch look no further. Highly recommended.
We can't stress this point enough: the Huawei Watch GT 2 is actually two smartwatches. The first is the suave but sizeable Watch GT 2 46mm, which packs the headline features: two-week battery and phone call functionality. That’s the one we reviewed. The second, the 42mm Watch GT 2 is a lite version in our eyes, losing out on features, but it’s more elegant. In our month with the 46mm version, we've fallen for its design, and using it as a watch and passive fitness tracker has been great. The battery life is also solid, even if we couldn’t squeeze two weeks out of it. The Watch GT 2 is undeniably less functional than an Apple or Galaxy Watch, and doesn’t play nicely with third-party apps, so won’t be one for serious fitness fiends. If you’re okay with all that though, it’s cheaper and better looking and anything else under £180, and a great passive tracker.
