Huawei P30 Pro review: zooming into the future
Before I came across Huawei's P30 Pro , I was confident in telling everyone that the Google Pixel 3, like its two predecessors, had the best smartphone camera. Now, I'm not so sure.
Pros:
- Best zoom on any smartphone camera to date
- Best low-light camera
- Kirin 980 provides fast and fluid performance
- Battery lasts for a heroically long time
Cons:
- Buggy and unappealing software
- Display curves exhibit discoloration at certain viewing angles
- Fingerprint reader isn't great

Huawei P30 Pro review: In a league of its own
It is often said that the bottom may be crowded but there’s always room at the top. The adage is extremely relevant when used in the context of the smartphone market. And when you’re in and around the top, then you need to innovate, be a step ahead of competition and this is something Huawei seems...

It's not hard to imagine Huawei gloating over its foes. It has been belittled, ridiculed, suspected, rejected, and even sued. But now it has come out with what is possibly the best premium smartphone this year so far.

- Almost two-days battery life
- Impressive hardware and software performance
- Reverse wireless charging
Cons:
- Not available in the US

Excellent camera.
I bought this phone purely because I wanted a model that had camera capability good enough to use instead of lugging my full DSLR kit about to festivals, gigs and parties. So far I've not been disappointed!

Huawei P30 Pro
The Huawei P30 Pro is a very good phone with a fantastic camera. After the minimal upgrades Apple and Samsung made with their most recent devices, it's refreshing to see Huawei taking a bold step forward in the photography department.
Pros:
- Innovative camera with terrific image quality
- Sharp design
Cons:
- Expensive
- Performance isn't as strong as similarly priced competitors

Huawei P30 Pro Review
The Huawei P30 Pro offers one of the most impressive smartphone camera experiences on the market. Huawei may not be a name you hear much of in the US, but that hasn't stopped the rise of the company across Asia and Europe. The P30 Pro is a terrific example of what all the fuss is about. Starting at 5,488 yuan, or approximately $778, the P30 Pro is a beautiful flagship phone with one of the best mobile cameras on the market. And while it's an absolute stunner in markets like the US (where you can't actually buy it), it faces tough competition in China where it's priced much higher than competitors with similar specifications, like the OnePlus 7 Pro. Features and Display On the features front, the P30 Pro feels a little like it's playing a game of catch up with the Mate 20 Pro. There's Face ID, but it's only a 2D scan instead of the 3D scan on the Mate 20 Pro. There's a fingerprint sensor, but it's lower down and in a less comfortable position rather than in the middle of the screen. On a similar note, the phone's 2,340-by-1,080 6.47-inch screen isn't as sharp as the Mate 20...
Pros:
- Innovative camera with terrific image quality
- Sharp design
Cons:
- Expensive
- Performance isn't as strong as similarly priced competitors

Huawei P30 Pro review
The Huawei P30 Pro is the best camera phone on the market and keeps Huawei firmly on the camera throne where they've been securely ensconced since last year.
Pros:
- The market’s best mobile camera with 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom and revolutionary night mode. Lightning-fast charging, reverse wireless charging, strong performance and plenty of other usable functionality. Best value top range mobile phone right now.
Cons:
- Semi-poor voice quality with sound created by screen vibration. Lacks stereo sound because of this. MicroSD cards are not supported, and the camera’s AI features seem mostly for fun. Glides if not laid on a 100% level surface.
