Huawei P30 6GB 128GB
The super zoom capabilities of the camera set up had tongues wagging ahead of the Huawei P30's release in Paris. There was also a lot of buzz about the new 40-megapixels main camera and the 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Display wise, the P30 has decent-sized 6.1-inch OLED panel, and a very impressive 6 Gb, or even 8 GB, of RAM, and 128 GB storagey. When you consider that the P20 had just 4GB of RAM, this is a big step up. For this to happen, and for the camera set up to reach its maximum potential, especially with super zoom feature, it requires that the chipset delivers. Huawei has worked on a successor to the much-vaunted Kirin 970. The new chip, Kirin 980 is needed to support the larger RAM specifications and is the same one employed in Mate 20 Pro.
The battery capacity equals 3,650 mAH and the phone runs Android 9.0 OS with Huawei's EMUI user interface.

Excellent phone
I've had my p30 a week now. This phone is great. Looks awsome in this colour, is super fast, cameras are the best, & battery life so far is brilliant.

Huawei P30 Breathing Crystal P30 CRYSTAL review
The smaller sibling of the P30 Pro, the P30 carries all of the great features - and all of the drawbacks. While it's not top-of-the-line, those looking for a long lasting battery and an impressive camera should definitely consider this phone.
Pros:
- Long lasting battery
- impressive camera
- low price
- and a night mode that still puts Google to shame.
Cons:
- Bad bloatware
- as with all Huawei devices
- makes this phone more difficult to use than it should be.

Huawei P30 review: How badly do you need a headphone jack
You miss out on a few things like wireless charging but, for the asking price, we'd still rate the Huawei P30 as an incredibly competitive package.
Pros:
- Great camera
- Headphone jack
Cons:
- Sub-par performance
- No wireless charging

Huawei P30 review: How badly do you need a headphone jack?
You miss out on a few things like wireless charging but, for the asking price, we’d still rate the Huawei P30 as an incredibly competitive package. I don’t think it’s difficult to make the case that Huawei’s P30 can only really be judged relative to its flagship counterpart. There’s just too much shared DNA. And in many ways, the sibling to the P30 Pro is largely defined by its differences.
Pros:
- Great camera
- Headphone jack
Cons:
- Sub-par performance
- No wireless charging

Huawei P30 Review
The Huawei P30 Pro has gotten all the buzz with its new superzoom camera, but Huawei has one more phone that features the same kind of performance power in a more compact body and at a much more affordable price, and that phone – undeservedly – flies under the radar.
Pros:
- Beautiful design
- solid construction
- Very good battery life
- Smooth performance
- Fast charging on board
- Much better in-screen fingerprint scanner
Cons:
- Screen quality is good
- but not great
- Photos have bleak colors
- EMUI has its quirks
- no quick pull-down for notifications
- etc
- Disappointing loudspeaker quality
- New nanoSD cards required here are hard to come by
- No 4K60 video option
- No warranty if you get it in the US
- will not work on Verizon...

Huawei P30 Review
What else do you miss out on by buying the P30 instead of the P30 Pro It has an IP53 water- and dust-resistance rating, which is basic compared to the IP68 body of the P30 Pro. The battery is smaller with a 3,650mAh capacity, compared to the 4,200mAh in the P30 Pro.
Pros:
- Great looking
- colorful OLED screen
- Flagship performance
- Impressive camera specifications
- Beautiful color choice
Cons:
- No wireless charging
- Lesser camera specification than the P30 Pro

Huawei P30
The Huawei P30 has an impressive camera with a range of abilities, and it looks stunning with its design, however it's not quite as good as the P30 Pro in many ways, and lacks some important features of a high-end phone like wireless charging.
Pros:
- Fantastic camera
- Range of vibrant color options
- Cutting-edge chipset
Cons:
- Inferior to larger Huawei P30 Pro
- Still no wireless charging
- Feels a little heavy

The Huawei P30 comes with triple rear cameras. The P30 Pro gets one extra camera, which is a ToF depth sensor. Both smartphones are powered by a Kirin 980 SoC. When it launched the P20 series last year, Huawei set new standards in smartphone photography.
