Huawei Nova together with the sister model Nova Plus are the phones in Huawei's newly released Nova series.

This is a 5.0-inch phone with a full-HD display with 2.5D glass. A Snapdragon 625 processor with two quad-cores running at 2.0 GHz clock frequency ensures speedy operations. The processor has access to 3 GB of RAM and can store a maximum of 64 GB.

The 12 MP front camera performs well in low-light conditions. The rear, selfie camera is almost as capable as the front one and has a resolution of 8 MP.

Huawei Nova Smartphone Review

Like Huawei's Nova Plus , Huawei's Nova is a really good smartphone with hardly any shortcomings. A very bright Full HD panel, high-quality and rigid casing, USB Type-C port, support for two SIM cards, and a reliable fingerprint scanner belong to its plus points.
Pros:
  • bright Full HD screen
  • high-quality build
  • USB Type-C port
  • fingerprint sensor
  • decent camera
  • long battery life
Cons:
  • no optical image stabilizer
  • 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only
  • hybrid dual-SIM only
  • no App2SD

It has been widely reported that Huawei were Google's top pick to manufacture the Pixel range of phones but talks broke down when Google suggested they wanted no branding other than their own on the device.

  • premium looks

  • Very expensive
  • camera needs work
  • Processor under-powered

"Fulfilling Device of Huawei Nova"

Huawei Nova had big screen which make it's nice to use. I love it when I watch videos, the resolution is high which make the video HD. CPU is Octa-Core and has 2GHz. 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM which doesn't make the device lag.
Pros:
  • Big capacity battery which is 3340mAh
  • High resolution
  • 16MP back camera and 8PM front camera
Cons:
  • Non-removable battery

Huawei Nova

Huawei once specialised in relatively cheap and cheerful smartphones, but has since turned its attention to more premium fare. Is this a change for the better, since consumers need to shell out more money?
Pros:
  • Well made design
  • Feels premium in-hand
  • Solid array of specs
  • Great all-round camera
Cons:
  • Benchmarks a bit low

The latest handset from Huawei, the nova, is a rather elegant piece of kit. The 2.5D glass is awesome, the weight is perfect in my hand and the features are what you would expect from a smartphone. The gold paint job is slick and the whole affair feels quite – dare I say – premium.

Great phone!

Insane design and looks great. Easily better than the Iphone 6s. Had to install 'nova launcher' to get a better software. Great phone.

Excellent phone

This phone is a very under rated device by reviewers. Firstly it's extremely well made, solidly built handset. The metal finish feels so premium, cold to the touch, sleek and slim which looks gorgeous!! I love the little attention to detail like the red power key.
