Huawei Nova 64GB
Huawei Nova together with the sister model Nova Plus are the phones in Huawei's newly released Nova series.
This is a 5.0-inch phone with a full-HD display with 2.5D glass. A Snapdragon 625 processor with two quad-cores running at 2.0 GHz clock frequency ensures speedy operations. The processor has access to 3 GB of RAM and can store a maximum of 64 GB.
The 12 MP front camera performs well in low-light conditions. The rear, selfie camera is almost as capable as the front one and has a resolution of 8 MP.
Huawei Nova runs Android 6.0 Marshmallows using its own in-house developed skin.

Huawei Nova review: Stunning mid-range phone, but lacks processing power
Huawei has gone from strength to strength in the UK, with recent releases including the flagship Huawei P9 proving popular in Britain – but it isn't done yet. Announced at IFA 2016 in Berlin, Huawei has launched a new range of smartphones to take on the mid-range market, the Huawei Nova and Huawei...
The latest handset from Huawei, the nova, is a rather elegant piece of kit. The 2.5D glass is awesome, the weight is perfect in my hand and the features are what you would expect from a smartphone. The gold paint job is slick and the whole affair feels quite – dare I say – premium.
Huawei Nova review: We've spent the week with Huawei's latest mobile, nicknamed the Nova, which at under £400 should provide serious competition for the likes of the OnePlus 3 , Samsung's Galaxy A5 and the Honor 8 .
- Fantastic battery life
- Compact
- attractive unibody
- Strong display
Huawei Nova
The Huawei Nova is basically a small, stripped-down version of the company's 2015 Nexus 6P. So on paper, the Nova looks pretty awesome; the Nexus 6P is the finest phone Huawei's ever made, offering fantastic Huawei tech, minus the dire EMUI software.- Great design
- Accurate display
- Stellar battery life
- Some performance issues
- EMUI skin is terrible
Huawei Nova review
The Huawei Nova is a mid-range phone, designed to give you the look and feel of an expensive mobile, while cutting down some of the bits and bobs inside to keep the price well under that of top-end models.
Huawei Nova review: The mid-range muddler
Huawei has no shortage of phones on the market, ranging from its super-affordable Honor brand devices that punch well above their weight, to the high-end premium flagships like the P9 and P9 Plus .- Compact size
- decent build quality
- long-lasting battery life
- EMUI continues to hamper Android
- camera is lacklustre
Huawei Nova in-depth review - Not quite a Super Nova
It has been widely reported that Huawei were Google's top pick to manufacture the Pixel range of phones but talks broke down when Google suggested they wanted no branding other than their own on the device.- Ergonomic size
- premium looks
- Very expensive
- camera needs work
- Processor under-powered
Huawei Nova review: A OnePlus 3 killer? Not quite
Huawei Nova: A mid-range smartphone, the Huawei Nova isn't exactly the OnePlus 3 killer Huawei wanted it to be- Great screen
- Speedy performance
- Long-lasting battery
- Disappointing camera
- Emotion UI
Missing benchmarks notwithstanding, Huawei has presented us with a very likeable handset in the Nova. It's attractive, seems zippy and responsive, has a bright, vibrant screen and solid battery life – and all for a not unreasonable £340.
Huawei Nova review
Another mid-range marvel from Huawei, but the Nova can't quite dethrone the OnePlus 3- Familiar design adds a touch of class
- Snappy performance and decent battery life
- There's no escaping EMUI
- Camera quality is only average for the money
- Can't beat the OnePlus 3 for value
