Hands-on Huawei Nova and Nova Plus review: super Novas?
The Nova and Nova Plus are phones that appear to target Huawei's vision of millennials. They look good, they are optimized for taking selfies, and they have a battery which will allow you to play Pokemon Go for a while.
Huawei launches with a completely new smartphone in the IFA 2016. Huawei Nova not only has a name never before used by the manufacturer, but also the facilities were not seen at Huawei in this combination. Huawei Nova is a new Huawei smartphone for the middle class.
Huawei Nova review: We've spent the week with Huawei's latest mobile, nicknamed the Nova, which at under £400 should provide serious competition for the likes of the OnePlus 3 , Samsung's Galaxy A5 and the Honor 8 .
- Fantastic battery life
- Compact
- attractive unibody
- Strong display
Huawei Nova + Nova Plus review: Lean and mean\n
Expensive, top-tier phones are all well and good. But over the past year, the £300-400 mark is where some of the most meaningful innovation has been happening. Huawei has dabbled in this market through its Honor brand, and its answer to this for the mainstream market is Nova, a new series of...
Huawei nova and nova plus: Mid-range phones that don't feel like a compromise
The IFA electronics trade show in Berlin didn't see too many flagship smartphone launches this year. Some companies, such as LG, opted for separate events weeks before or after the show, and most of the new phones we've seen, like Huawei's nova and nova plus , were mid-rangers.
Huawei Nova review: A OnePlus 3 killer? Not quite
Huawei Nova: A mid-range smartphone, the Huawei Nova isn't exactly the OnePlus 3 killer Huawei wanted it to be- Great screen
- Speedy performance
- Long-lasting battery
- Disappointing camera
- Emotion UI
Life of a Star
Look, it's the Nexus 6P! But smaller. Well, not really - it's the Huawei nova. It's a star in the making, and you can find it in the mid-range cluster of the company's mobile universe. The nova takes after the flagship-grade Nexus 6P, which unsurprisingly, is also Huawei-made.
Missing benchmarks notwithstanding, Huawei has presented us with a very likeable handset in the Nova. It's attractive, seems zippy and responsive, has a bright, vibrant screen and solid battery life – and all for a not unreasonable £340.
Huawei Nova review
Another mid-range marvel from Huawei, but the Nova can't quite dethrone the OnePlus 3- Familiar design adds a touch of class
- Snappy performance and decent battery life
- There's no escaping EMUI
- Camera quality is only average for the money
- Can't beat the OnePlus 3 for value
