Huawei Nova 3 review
2018 has been a busy year for Huawei so far with several new launches across both, the main and the Honor sub-brand. Some of them, such as the P20 Pro and the Honor 10 have been very well received, with the P20 Pro being called the new smartphone camera king by some.
Huawei isn't a very big name in the Indian smartphone space. So far, the Google Nexus 6P ( Review ) and the Huawei P9 ( Review ) have been the most recognisable products from this company, but we've seen little else over the years. Now, that might be about to change.
The Huawei Nova 3 is priced at Rs 34,999. The phone is powered by the aging HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, and has 6GB of RAM. EMUI 8.2 is good, but remains fairly cluttered and not quite as easy to use as other manufacturer overlays.
Huawei Nova 3 review: Stylish design, impressive cameras
Huawei has launched Nova 3 and Nova 3i in India. Both the smartphones feature FullView display as well as four cameras – two on the front and two at the back. Nova 3 and Nova 3i feature similar specifications except for the rear camera configuration, processor, and battery size.
Huawei Nova 3 Review: a midranger with flagship specifications - Filipino Tech Addict
By having almost the same specification from the Huawei P20 Pro, let's see if it can really perform like a pro....
Believe it or not, but Huawei has overtaken Apple and is now placed in the second position for the number of smartphones shipped in Q2 2018. This is huge for a company that is only limited to a few countries and hasn't touched the soils of bigger markets like the United States.
Huawei is doing some real work this 2018 with a lot of launches across both mid-range and high-end variants. Keeping up the spirit, the company has launched Nova 3 in the Indian market after making it official in China a few weeks back.
- Build quality
- Battery life
- Camera performance
- AI not convincing enough
- Audio quality
- Not water-resistant
Huawei's new Nova 3 is a sleek looking smartphone that taken some design inspirations from the P20 Pro. The Nova 3 has a glass back with gradient colourway making it one of the attractive and beautifully looking smartphones in the market.
The Huawei Nova 3 establishes itself in the premium segment with authority riding on to the back of a very stylish back design and great image reproduction capabilities. At Rs 34,999 it can easily compete with OnePlus 6 barring few features such as the overall user experience.
Huawei Nova 3 rides on smart design and enhanced interface
With the Huawei Nova 3, users get more storage (than the similarly-priced variant of OnePlus 6), better camera, more customizable UI and some breathtaking colour options. The OnePlus 6 has a richer display and less-cluttered interface.
