Review: Google Nexus 6P

It just works. It's a line we mostly use to talk about Apple, but it's really the story of the Nexus 6P . This is Google's new flagship phone, one of two it made this year to show the world just how good Android can be.
Pros:
  • Proof that Google really cares about design! A Nexus phone finally has a great camera
  • Decent battery life, and crazy-fast charging
  • Now On Tap is a great idea
Cons:
  • Now On Tap doesn't work that well
  • USB Type-C is great to use but hard to find
  • Android apps, generally speaking, aren't as good as iOS apps

Nexus 6P review: The best Nexus device to date

This year we've had not one but two Nexus phones. The Nexus 5X , manufactured by LG, is the smaller of the bloatware-free Android devices, but while we liked that handset, it just doesn't really stand-out beyond the current mid-range market .
Pros:
  • Beautiful aluminium frame
  • gorgeous plus-sized screen
  • punchy processor with no overheating
  • super-fast fingerprint scanner on the back
  • 4K video and slo-mo at 120 or 240fps (at 720p)
  • great 8MP selfie camera
  • USB Type-C charging
  • speedy and pure Android 6.0 Marshmallow experience
Cons:
  • Super saturated display leads to some colour inaccuracy
  • only day and a half of battery life with moderate use
  • no wireless charging
  • no USB 3.0 fast data transfer over USB Type-C
  • slow HDR mode
  • basic stock camera app with no manual controls
  • no optical stabilisation
