Cons:

- US carrier support limited
- Display resolution lower than other flagships

Huawei Mate 8 review: Big beauty
Not so long ago the idea of a 6-inch phone sounded like a bonkers one. Now it's the norm for many, helped along by the iPhone 6S Plus , and with devices as powerful and refined as the Huawei Mate 8 also coming to market it's perhaps a more appealing concept than ever.
Pros:
- Superb battery life
- Ace fingerprint scanner
- Refined design
- Smaller than iPhone 6S Plus (despite having a larger 6in screen
- Reasonable camera and stabilisation
Cons:
- Software not always smart (EMUI 4.0 means no app tray
- Split screen fairly useless
- Screen resolution limitations
- Huge size won't suit all

Huawei Mate 8 review with pros and cons
The Huawei Mate 8 was introduced in November for China, and earlier this month the company gave some news about global availability outside China. If this smartphone has made it onto your device shortlist you might be interested in checking out a good look at it.

Huawei Mate 8
Although Chinese manufacturer Huawei still can't claim much in the way of brand recognition, it's expanded its reputation in the US and UK with every release. That's down to the eternally appealing equation of more for less: the company offers high-end hardware at affordable prices.
Pros:
- Great fingerprint sensor
- Gorgeous large display
- Strong battery life
Cons:
- Emotion UI overlay
- Fast charging cable not in the box
- Ugly speaker grill

Huawei Mate 8 review
In many ways, the Mate 8 is an excellent smartphone. It has a big, high-quality screen and is well made. It isn't the most stylish of phones, but it's fast (unless you're talking about games) and has decent battery life.

Huawei delivers great hardware yet again and the Kirin 950 sets the benchmark for performance in 2016 but a poorly conceived user experience and mediocre camera detract from what could have been a great smartphone
Pros:
- - Outstanding battery life
- Market-leading performance
- Super fast fingerprint sensor
- Great design
- Exceptional build quality
Cons:
- - Average speakers
- Mediocre camera
- Software needs a lot of work

Featured Review: Huawei Mate 8
Huawei had a stellar 2015 to say the least. The company saw the largest growth it had ever experienced and has retained its place among the 3 largest smartphone OEMs in the world.
Pros:
- Incredible build quality
- Somehow doesn't feel like a 6-inch device
- Instantaneous fingerprint reading
- Top-of-the-charts performance
- Granular cell and WiFi data management
- Out of this world battery life
- Excellent directional audio recording
- One of the best LCD displays out there
- Android 6.0...
Cons:
- Camera is sub-par for the price
- EmotionUI can really get in the way at times
- Memory management is terrible by default
- too many apps close as soon as the screen goes off
- Battery life may be amazing but it's because of the overly aggressive background-app killing service
- Missing some huge...

Huawei Mate 8 review
The Huawei Mate 8 is exceptionally quick, but this 6in phablet is held back by a hopeless camera and a frustrating UI

Huawei Mate 8 review: An overpriced battery life beast
The huge, metal Huawei Mate 8 has plenty of appeal and only minor drawbacks, but it's too expensive to sway fans of large-screen phones from the Nexus 6P or Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Huawei's all-metal, 6-inch Mate 8 has a lot going for it, especially its long-lasting battery and high camera quality. After all, those are two things almost anyone would look for in a phone. But unfortunately the handset's price tag is too steep to close the deal -- €600 for the 32GB version and €700 for the 64GB model. Those numbers translate to roughly $650 and $760; £450 and £525.
Pros:
- Huawei's Mate 8's battery life goes on and on
- it snaps good photos and has a fast
- accurate fingerprint sensor and a loud speakerphone.
Cons:
- This ginormous 6-inch phone is just too unwieldy for smaller hands
- It has a dim screen and a low resolution compared with other phones.
