This is a great handset with all the quality you expect from Huawei, BUT it is not a dual sim phone as stated in the technical spec. It has space for one nano sim and one nano memory card only.
The Mate 20 is the new smartphone in Huawei's phablet range. Here are the big things to look out for in the latest flagship from the Chinese telecommunications giant.
Huawei has talked up the Kirin 980 chip, saying it would "destroy" chips found in other flagship phones. The Kirin 980 IS an impressive processor; in the Mate 20, Huawei promises 20% better performance and 40% better battery efficiency over its predecessor. Considering what the predecessor was capable of, these improvements are not to be sneezed at.
These are impressive as well, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and variations available should you need more.
Thin bezels on the Mate 20 accentuate the 6.43-inch AMOLED display (with a resolution of 2244 x 1080 pixels) and take photos and movies right to the edge!
Huawei have made big strides in enhancing their smartphone - they consider it a priority as they compete against the cameras on other smartphones. The Mate 20 benefits from this focus on delivering an improved photographic experience. A feature packed selfie camera and triple lens rear camera work in conjunction with an AI Zoom, which automatically adjusts while keeping the subject in focus.
There's plenty to like about the video recording too, including AI Cinema mode which adds filters while you're shooting, while a Video Bokeh mode blurs the background and keeps the subject firmly in focus.
Nothing is done by halves in the Mate 20, including the 4,000 mAh battery!

I was concerned about swapping from apple to android but I am converted. Battery life fantastic. 2 days usage on one charge. Camera exceeded expectation. It takes fantastic photos especially portraits. It is just great to use and hold.
I like it very much. That's great!
There's a ton to love about the Huawei Mate 20. While not the Pro version, it offers a ton of features, fantastic build quality, and top-tier performance and battery life without busting your budget.
I am very happy with this phone, good battery life, apps open and run quickly, nice screen size and picture quality
It turned out that this model also suffered from gluegate. The whole screen looked very strange. Downloaded an iPhone Xr instead which I think is a much better phone than this for the money.
Phone is very easy to use and the camera is excellent. Highly recommend this product
Next, we're going to get up close and personal with the Mate 20 and dissect its industrial design chops and build quality...
Good Value; Vibrant display; Top-notch camera; Large screen to bezel ratio; Comes with cover; Excellent battery life
Fingerprint magnet, Middling gaming performance, No OLED display, No Official U.S; release
Huawei is certainly a name that's been making the rounds in the media lately, and thanks to a number of political reasons, not always for the best reasons. Regardless of politics though, Huawei has improved
Purchased this when on offer, pleased that I did, much better than the galaxy s9 that I had.
