Huawei Honor 10 review: Good value, but no match for the OnePlus 6

Huawei wowed me with its hypercolourful flagship P20 Pro ($472 at Amazon) phone and now Honor -- Huawei's sub-brand -- is getting in on the vibrant action with the Honor 10.

The Honor 10 is a stylish midrange Android phone, but the OnePlus 6 offers better performance all round for only a little more money.

The Honor 10 delivers the same fast speeds and stylish colours as its cousin, the Huawei P20 Pro, at half the price; It has a standard headphone jack too.

The camera doesn’t begin to approach the excellence of the P20 models or the similarly priced OnePlus 6.

Honor 10 Review – the £399 flagship

Hot on the heels of the Huawei P20 launch, today we assess the Honor 10. I mention Huawei as you may not know that Honor is actually a sub-brand of Huawei. It is no surprise, then, that the Honor 10 looks and feels very similar to the P20.

Looks very stylish; SuperCharge works very well; Good value for money; Dual cameras are decent; Display is very good

Occasionally sluggish performance; Fingerprint scanner is not the fastest

Honor 10 review: The affordable flagship to upset OnePlus

The Honor 10 offers heaps for its asking price, cementing its position as one of the best affordable flagship phones available - the likes of which ought to draw away some potential OnePlus 6 customers who are lured in by Honor's spangly two-tone design.

Great design with flashy Phantom Blue finish; Solid performance from a powerful chipset; Half the price of a flagship without much compromise; Dual cameras

Under-the-glass fingerprint scanner not the best; Screen notch will divide opinion; Battery life has been inconsistent during week-long test; EMUI software has its quirks

The Honor 10 is exclusively available via Flipkart for Rs 32,999. It comes with AI dual cameras with 16-megapixel and 24-megapixel sensors. The Honor 10 also sports an under-glass ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Honor 10 review

The Honor 10 is a fantastic device for a mid-range price. Yes the software can be funky, but the hardware is on point and the camera and battery life (two of the most important things in a phone) are great. It's easy to use with one hand, it has an attractive design, and it's sure to be a hit.

This year's flagship phone by Honor is the Honor 10 offering high-end specs with a powerful AI dual-camera at an upper mid-range price. In addition, its gorgeous glass body sums up to an overall appealing package.

Reflective Glass Design | Solid Build Quality; High Display Brightness | Great Viewing Angles; Remarkable Dual Camera Performance | AI-backed and plenty of features (3D Portrait Lighting; AR lens; Monochrome; Depth…; Stunning Selfies & Portraits; Powerful Kirin 970 CPU | High-performance 6 GB RAM &...

No microSD support; No water-resistance; No OIS in camera

Past couple of years have marked the rise in the mid-range flagship segment with the offerings from companies like Honor, Xiaomi and the OnePlus. These are the devices with few compromises yet offers an excellent experience at half the price of the flagships from Samsung, LG and Apple.

Good Display; Good Design and build quality; Smooth Performance; Value for money

No OIS; Not water resistant; Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is a bit slow; EMUI interface might not be preferred by everyone

Honor 10

Honor’s back with another flagship that delivers plenty of bang without breaking the bank – the HTMLTagInstance html-tag-50e18a28-0668-4019-9e8c-11915c859ce6 Honor 10. And it relies not only on powerful internals to turn heads. The Honor 10 looks outstanding with its Aurora Glass, color-shifting back and 18:9 display with a notch at the top. On top of that, we get a dual-camera setup on the back and a 24MP selfie shooter at the front, all sprinkled with some AI magic to take better photos. Priced at €449.90 for the 128 GB version and €399.90 for the 64 GB option, can the Honor 10 be an international hit and a device possibly worth converting some currency for?In the box:Honor 10USB-C cable and wall chargerSafety and warranty manualsSIM toolDesign Improving on the flashy, yet HTMLTagInstance html-tag-57a3efe2-8d2c-4ec4-b56b-71aac39ae430 Galaxy S7-esque design of the HTMLTagInstance html-tag-1a647139-5148-4ab3-9d6c-c6e6a79d9e63 Honor 9, the Honor 10 retains its dazzling appearance while ...

Honor 10 Review: Best Budget Flagship So Far

Absolutely. The phone's flagship internals, gorgeous color options, and impressive camera output should put the Honor 10 in the top of anyone's budget flagship shopping list. While it falls short of Huawei's headline P20 flagship, the Honor 10 still manages to deliver top-tier performance for very...

Honor 10 SmartPhone : Huawei Honor 10 SmartPhone

Having recently reviewed the Huawei P20 I immediately noticed so many of the same features on the Honor 10 which as both brands are in the same ownership is perhaps not that surprising however the Honor 10 is made powdered glass to make it shiny and move its back in the light and it shimmers like...
