The 5.8-inch Honor 10 is the flagship Honor device for 2018. At £399 (inc. VAT) it's a relatively low-cost handset, in keeping with the company's value for money ethos. The Honor brand comes from the same stable as Huawei handsets, and there are often many similarities across the two product lines.

Compared with my last phone which was a huawei p9 this beast has a bigger brighter and more colourful screen, its running oreo 8.1, it has a better camera with AI, An ir blaster, phone not much bigger than old old 5mm taller, more ram bigger memory at 128gb compared with 32gb.

The Honor 10 is an adventurous little phone, and one of almost unbeatable value. It looks striking, has an interesting “invisible” fingerprint scanner and fantastic specs for its £400 price. It just needed a few little extras to really trip up the OnePlus 6. The Honor 10 launches with a few performance bugs and the battery life is nothing special. With an ultra-bold finish and hyperactive AI camera mode, it flirts with the limits of good taste for some too. However, it’s certainly one of the best value high-performance phones of 2018.

Huawei wowed me with its hypercolourful flagship P20 Pro ($472 at Amazon) phone and now Honor -- Huawei's sub-brand -- is getting in on the vibrant action with the Honor 10.

The Honor 10 is a stylish midrange Android phone, but the OnePlus 6 offers better performance all round for only a little more money.

The Honor 10 delivers the same fast speeds and stylish colours as its cousin, the Huawei P20 Pro, at half the price; It has a standard headphone jack too.

The camera doesn’t begin to approach the excellence of the P20 models or the similarly priced OnePlus 6.

Even though battery life is a little underwhelming, it’s a minor quibble with what is an exceptionally good phone for the price. The display, cameras and build quality are verging on those of a phone twice the price and the performance is the best we’ve seen on an Honor phone. The software is the best EMUI has ever offered, and the notch is not a big deal when all is said and done. The 128GB storage as standard is also a major plus, and dual SIM is also welcome. Add to that a headphone jack, and the Honor 10 might be from 2018 but it's still a good choice.

If you're in the market for an unlocked phone with top-end features for less than $500, it's a solid choice. Design, Features, and Display The View 10 is a member of the same Honor family the 7X comes from, and the resemblance is readily apparent. It features a sleek aluminum metal unibody, dual rear cameras, and an increasingly common 18:9 aspect ratio. There are some minor design differences, like a fingerprint sensor on the front and rear camera placement, but you'd be forgiven for mistaking the two devices if they were placed side by side.
