Not bad, but not great
Not as keen on this one as the previous game, can't seem to get into the new combat style they have adopted, still playable though specially if you're new to the series

Halo Wars 2 review – a real good time for strategy
Easily the best real-time strategy on a console, and a fast-paced, accessible wargame that every Xbox owner should try and experience.
Pros:
- The controls work perfectly and are extremely easy to pick up
- Excellent multiplayer options, including campaign co-op and the surprisingly good Blitz mode
Cons:
- Appallingly uninteresting plot and characters that threaten to sap the life out of every scenario and cut scene
- Bland art design and sometimes uninspired missions
- Short campaign mode

Halo Wars 2
A slightly simplified real-time strategy gaming experience perfect for Xbox One but still highly playable for Windows 10 PC gamers looking for fast and frantic multiplayer skirmishes with keyboard and mouse. Also a worthy narrative addition to the Halo franchise.

If you've played the games that this current rendition stems from, you'd know that it wasn't the most compelling or cohesive RTS you've ever played. That said, is was still one of the benchmarks for the genre to come from a studio that hasn't done RTS for console before.
Pros:
- Frantic gameplay | Multiplayer madness | Intriguing storyline | Marvelous cut scenes
Cons:
- Short campaign | Slightly difficult control scheme | Some odd bugs

Halo Wars 2 is not a bad game, but it just fails to do anything that really makes it excel and a must play. The Blitz multiplayer mode is an interesting innovation, but not enough to stop the campaign leaving a slight tinge of disappointment with the package overall.

Halo Wars 2 Review
will scratch a real-time strategy itch and give you a dose of Halo-Universe flavor with a decent story, but it won't go much deeper than that. A run-of-the-mill campaign, controls that hamper micromanagement, conspicuous bugs, and multiplayer that relies on luck limit its long-term appeal, but its...
