Microsoft has sought to indulge Xbox fans with a graphical overhaul of the original Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox 360. Like all trips down memory lane it's bitter-sweet, but the emphasis is firmly on the latter.

Bungie built the house, 343 has redecorated it for the modern marketplace. It would be criminally negligent not to stress the importance of Bungie's contribution to this re-release; this is still, at its heart, the game they lovingly created all those years ago.

Everything is great, ability to change from old to new visuals and vice Versace is great but not a big fan of the remastered sound design and music. The multiplayer that comes with it Reach's Anniversary pack though and not the original.

You know how awesome the last-gen of consoles were, when you see a spate of remakes hogging shelf space, time and most importantly reviews like this. The Halo series is legendary for reasons more than one.

To celebrate the ten-year anniversary of not just the original Halo: Combat Evolved, but also the original Xbox hardware, Microsoft and new Halo series developer 343 Industries bring us a remastered version of Halo called Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

I am not much of a multiplayer fan but love a game with a great campaign, this version of Halo: CE allowed me to relive the glory days of the original all over again! I've played through a half dozen times already and am finally back to the level that i think i can handle Legendary....

For the original Halo: CE lover, this is pure heaven; The game play of the original with all the good looks of the latest; Worth spending the money on

The trouble of reviewing a remake is being subjective to the original content and whether the standard of game 10 years ago is as good or relevant as it is now, so for the purposes of this review I won't go into depth of the original game, but simply what are the changes that have been made.

After crushing the Covenant and retreating from Reach, it only seems fitting to end up right where we began in Halo Anniversary, a commemorative update of Combat Evolved that brings the series full circle.

If you love Halo, you will love this remake of the game that started many gamers path to first person shooters. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is out now and Master Chief is waiting for you 10 years later once again.
