Halo Anniversary

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary takes the original game and faithfully brings it into the HD era. Utilising a new graphics engine from Saber Interactive, we see the original game code running under the new graphics with both engines syncronised to give you the legitimate Halo: CE instead of a...

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Review

It might not deal with terrorists or modern combat, but Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary remains a downright enjoyable experience from start to finish that most gamers should experience. Plus, it has Master Chief, and let's face it - he's all kinds of bad arse.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Review

Ten years ago, long time PC software developer Microsoft decided to make a bold move and venture in the video game market. Knowing they had a steep upward battle ahead, because of Sony’s year head...

+ An awesome trip down memory lane; + It was nice to revisit what started it all; + Cool new features for a tiny price; + This is how you do an HD "remake!

None; This game is a classic

Halo: Combat Evolved - Anniversary review (X360)

Halo holds up. That's the main takeaway from Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary , a remastered re-release of the ten year old game that established console systems as a viable place for shooters.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Review

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is almost as good in reality as it ever was in your memory. The graphical update is welcome and the multiplayer maps are decent if not amazing. There are a few rough edges and cracks around the once infallible gameplay, but nothing that would stop you enjoying Halo:...

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Review

Who doesn't get sentimental when they hear the word "anniversary" To many people, it's a time of reflection and looking back on all those great years that have passed. For some, it's a chance to show off all the weight they've lost and talk about how amazing their new job at ImARichBastardNYoureNot...

Return of a classic; Updated with; Toggling between new and original graphics; It's Halo

Lack of save points for returning to the game

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (Xbox 360) Review

When the original Xbox released in 2001 there were two games that most considered must buys when purchasing the system. One was a fighting game while the other was a first person shooter.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Review

If you've ever played an Xbox in your life, then odds are that you've played Halo: Combat Evolved , which launched the system and captivated millions of players. But the question isn't "How good was it then?" It's "How good is it now?" The answer: It's still really, really good.

Remastered visuals feature beautiful lighting and environmental detail; Campaign is still exciting and satisfying; Multiplayer maps are great fun to revisit; Iconic soundtrack is still excellent; Switching between classic and remastered presentation is entertaining

Checkpoint system can be unreliable; Only one-third of the original multiplayer maps are included; Kinect voice commands are largely useless

I'm starting to doubt the value of the score in video game reviews (83 is fine, not my point). There is such an inflation issue with the perspective of readers that devalues anything less than 90 to pure trash. Anyways, for Halo CE fans this game is a 100.

'Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary' review

gave Microsoft's new console exactly what it needed to make a dent on the console market ten years ago. It took the PC-centric first-person shooter genre and made it work sublimely on a console, instantly seeing it labelled as a classic - and it is still regarded as such today.
