After setting up the monitor, I found a fairly obvious dark spot in the dead center of the screen. Another spot just to the right. It seems obvious no one inspected the monitor before it was boxed up.

Thought I'd treat myself with a high end machine but totally disappointed. It's flimsy in construction and the picture quality can best be described as crappy. The only saving grace is that I suspect it might be a fake.
Buy this display - but not from Amazon. The Z24i display is great - bright, sharp and great HP build quality. It's well worth the money. As a company we've been using the previous models for several years without a hitch.

Bought this to replace an aging monitor; Not a fan of 16:9 ratio so wanted something taller; Also wanted something with display port, stand adjustments & VESA compatibility from a familiar manufacturer; It is a slight bit larger than I expected but that is ok; Going to be used primarily for gaming.
Could be taller - I hate 16:9 widescreen, and even though this monitor is a taller 16:10, it isn't tall enough for my liking; I'd prefer 4:3 to come back in style so my entire field of vision can be utilized.
