After a sixteen year old computer crashed, I finally was able to get a HP like I wanted, because I was expecting reliability, solid construction, stable configuration, and robust performance. I particularly wanted a SSD drive, and would never have anything else again.

I ordered this system using the customize option as it was the only way I could get the configuration I wanted. The customize experience was a huge letdown as I was forced to use components I didn't want.

It's a plain desktop - no multi-colored lights, etc. The site pics make it look worn, but mine looks brand new - not worn, and not a scratch on it. If you want to add a graphics card, it can't be full-length but it can be pretty tall. Everything works well. The GigE/DisplayPorts/USB/audio work well.

I bought a refurbished one, I had never seen the z240 before but I liked the specs. Mine is outfitted with a 512GB HP Turbo Drive G2 M.2 form factor on the motherboard (there's one motherboard M.2 slot on the z240) and it's a screamer.

The description doesn't say it, but the package actually contains a mouse and keyboard. I suspect others might like to know this.
