These cartridges are expensive, but these X (for extra capacity) are more cost effective than the standard A models, especially with these 2-packs. And, once again, B & H Photo had the best price! We buy HP brand, having had too many problems with compatible cartridges.

Keep the little chip so you can put it back on if you send the cartridge back to HP.

Huge capacity; More cost effective than the 42a; Actually bought this cartridge thinking it would work OOB with a 4240, which is does not; HOWEVER, just pop the little chip off of the cartridge and the 4240 will accept the cartridge as a non HP Branded cartridge

With the modded cartridge the printer can not keep track of toner level; Just notice when the pages begin to lighten

Just last month, a printer literally FRIED OUT because of all the toner that had built up inside the printer, so the entire printer...

Everything about this appeared to be original cartridge, even the box we received it in. When we went to install the cartridge the toner poured out everywhere. No matter which way you turned it trying to stop the toner pouring out it would come out from somewhere else.

Lasts a long time and doesn't dry up. Never a problem with it.
