these are fabulous drives, have used both 500 and 250gigs and find them very good. happy to use again in the future.

Pros: Good fast read/write SSD, well built and decent 3 year warranty. Worth the few extra dollars over the cheaper models. Always happy with HP products. Cons: None

I e-mailed the team at PB Tech for advise on which SSD would be best for my specific laptop within my budget. They gave me great suggestions and I chose the HP S700 250GB SSD to replace the current non-SSD. I did the swap myself by following online guidelines and it is working great. The start up and general speed of the old laptop is great, it will last me another few years before I have to think about an upgrade.

I've had this for a couple of weeks now - I did something I never did before - I wanted to upgrade my hard drive to something bigger (I had a 120GB SSD) but I wanted to keep my Windows 7 and avoid having to reinstall Windows.. so I created an image of my OS and used a SATA-USB adaptor cable to copy this image onto the new SSD and plugged it in and just like magic, MY COMPUTER RECOGNISED THE NEW HARD DRIVE AND BOOTED UP JUST LIKE NORMAL! So, this was a very cheap upgrade giving me a little bit more room to install more programs - I think this will turn out to be very good value!

I fine these HD very suitable, Cost is low and it gives better performance than the standard HD with the speed.
