Worth the upgrade

I have the Samsung Odyssey + so I got this G2 without the controllers and am able to use the Samsung controllers with it. The main benefit over the Samsung is increased resolution and no light bleed due to a much better fit and comfort of the face interface. On the negative side is a smaller sweet spot and FOV plus poorer blacks.

Expensive but Superb

Very comfortable, NO screen door effect, sharp vision in ALL the lens, perfectly wearable over spectacles. This is the third WMR headset I have owned and is the first one that I could bear to wear for more than 15 minutes at a time. Real usable VR has arrived.

Incredible

Absolutely incredible visual quality, this is a generational leap for vr. The tracking is sufficient for immersive experiences, but it is rather dependent on your lighting in the space you use vr in. With that being said I think this is still a pinnacle of vr

One of the Best

The visual fidelity in this is AMAZING, and so are the two earpieces/speakers. The only thing I wish was a bit better were the controllers, but they are on par with other headsets except the Valve Index. Definitely worth every dollar!

Good

Good. Only issue is these MWR controllers aren't commonplace in the VR community, so lots of games and applications that are made with the vive and occulus in mind have a hard time with these controllers. Remapping the controls is a common occurrence

One of the best headsets out there is not the best

I have had meany headsets and this has to one of the best out there with the res the best you can get in any headset right now. The tracking on the headset is really really good and the controllers are about 90% there this is because of inside out tracking and will never be as good as light house tracking BUT still very very good. The headset is really light and I can play for hours on end with no problems at all.

HP Reverb G2 review

The HP Reverb G2 is easily one of the best VR headsets out there thanks to its incredibly high-resolution lenses, which all but eliminate the screen door effect and really help with immersion. It doesn’t quite have the accuracy of the Valve Index or HTC Vive Pro, but it’s cheaper and easier to set up than both.

No screen door effect; Very immersive; Easy to set up; Not the most expensive…;

...but not the cheapest, either; Motion tracking lacks precision; Cable gets in way when not in use

Great update

Fov is a bit narrower than oculus, but the resolution and tracking are excellent, currently using it for DCS
