Very efficient printer. Comes with two paper trays so you can keep envelopes or a different paper type in one. (Asks you for paper type each time you open and close one of the paper trays which is nice so you can indicate if you add card stock, envelopes or whatever.

If you buy this printer make sure you have a very big stable area to put this printer on. It is HUGE!!! I have a very big desk but still thought it was too big for a personal use home printer. It does have 2 paper trays and therefore it is very high and also quite wide.

I bought this printer 3 years ago. I have had continuous problems. I can not get this printer to print properly in a network. Sometimes I can't even get it to print at all. I called tech support and had it replaced 4 months after we bought it and I still have the same problems.

We have an 8720 and added the 8740. Both printers use the same ink cartridges.

Installed printer March 20, 2019, after several weeks, numerous calls, 10 -12 HOURS of phone time with HP Instant Ink support, the problem unfortunately has not been resolved and my window to return to Amazon is up. I have two HP printers that work wonderful and am extremely disappointed with HP.

I purchased this printer as an upgrade. I returned it because it was slower and noisier than my current model. These are important features because I use the printer in my office where I use the phone and bring in vendors and customers. In addition the cost of the ink has jumped up.
