I was looking for a reasonably low-cost wireless color printer with superior text and graphics and a low operating cost. The HP Pro8100 met all my expectations. I like the features and the fact that it is very quiet when printing.

Small workgroups looking at color lasers should note that the HP OfficeJet Pro 8100 ePrinter inkjet is faster and cheaper to operate, and that it can print crisp text as well as very nice photos.

Overall, it's the right choice for my network environment where half of the household is home use, while the other half is for business. I could see this being used in a full office environment as well. Only issue I had was making it connect with older versions of windows and non-Windows computers.

Works well with Windows Vista and newer client operating systems; very easy to implement to them.

Not easy to set up on Windows XP or older clients and non-windows based OS (such as Linux) but not impossible
